6 Class Statistics Our Executive MBA attracts an experienced group of participants from a wide range of specialties, industries and sectors. The average age on the Executive MBA is 35, and participants have an average of 12 years professional experience. Currently 20% of the participants are female and 14% are international. The wide range of age, experience and background on the UCD Smurfit EMBA creates a rich diversity in our classes and that enhances the classroom experience by bringing in a wealth of real world experience to supplement the academic curriculum. EMBA participant profile 2014/15: Average age 35 Average work experience 12 years Women 20% International 14% Average GMAT 560 Two delivery options: Midweek: Monday & Thursday evenings ( pm) Weekend: Friday afternoon (2-6.30pm) & Saturday morning (9am-1.30pm) Semesters: 14 weeks long including exams Admissions Course Fees: 29,500 What do you need? A university degree or an extensive record of business/ professional experience. A minimum of 3-5 years professional experience. A minimum GMAT score of 500. Note Scholarship applicants will need to check the UCD Smurfit School website to calculate their required GMAT score, as the requirements for scholarship applicants may vary. Two references - normally from current or former employers. An acceptable score on the TOEFL or IELTS exam if English isn t your first language. For further information: For me personally the Smurfit MBA was a fantastic way to transition from a US centric career to a Europe/Ireland based one. I was able to change my vantage point using new frameworks & knowledge from course modules, such as strategy & negotiation skills. I developed a fresh perspective from the diversity of the cohort - classmates with experiences from all over the world representing multiple business sectors.
