15 A Bollard BSMA 12 Design A The bollard can be loaded with two mooring ropes each with a breaking strength not exceeding the values in the tables. Wound in figure of eight fashion, approx. five turns per bitt. The bollard can be loaded with one towing rope laid in a single sling over one of the bitts and with a breaking strength not exceeding the values in the table. ASSEMBLY ON SHIP 1. Position the base onto the finished deck location 2. Insert the bitt tubes into the base 3. Raise the base plate and weld bitts to deck 4. Lower baseplate and weld to bitts and deck.
