4 GIS4EU, CSI Piemonte From the airport Torino Caselle : HOW TO GET TO TURIN BY TRAIN: A railway links the airport to Turin (GTT Dora Railway Station). Departures every 30 minutes to the airport from 05:13am to 07:43pm and to Turin from 06:49am to 09:19pm. Journey time: 19 min. The railway station is located few meters away from the air terminal. For information and timetable confirmation: Ph Internet: TO REACH TORINO PORTA NUOVA RAILWAY STATION: Go to bus stop nr CHIESA SALUTE (via Stradella / via Chiesa dellla Salute) Take the city bus 67 towards Failla for 13 bus stops. Get out at the stop 39 - PORTA NUOVA FS. 5 GIS4EU, CSI Piemonte BY TAXI: The taxi rank is located on the left at the exit of the Arrivals level. Taxis fare is about Euro 30 to reach downtown Turin, and travel time is approximately 30 minutes. For information: PRONTO TAXI: ph RADIO TAXI: ph The taxi is also the fastest way to get from the airport, that is 15 km away from the city centre, to the CSI offices. The fare is about 40. BY CAR: Turin airport is located 16 kms/10 miles north of the city centre. To travel into/from central Turin takes 20 minutes, 30 minutes during peak traffic hours (07:30-09:30, 17:30-19:30). Turin airport has direct highway access to the city. If you need to rent a car, the airport hosts the most important car rental companies in order to offer to customers their best services. The car rental companies' offices are located inside of the multistorey car park and in the Arrivals lounge. OPTIONS: MILAN AIRPORT Otherwise one of the solutions is to travel to one of the airports of Milan: Linate or Malpensa. Linate is close to the city centre and the central station if you would like to travel the last part by train. There is also a bus service from the Malpensa airport that goes to Turin (approximately 2 hours). 6 GIS4EU, CSI Piemonte HOW TO GET TO CSI PIEMONTE By taxi: To get to the meeting will require a short taxi ride, approximately 15 minutes from the city centre. By Bus/Tram: The tickets cost 0.9, and have to be purchased in one of the newsstands, bars or in one of the small tobacco stores with a big T as a sign. You cannot buy tickets onboard. When you get on the tram or the bus, you have to punch the ticket before the first stop. The tickets are valid for 70 minutes.
