The hair on your neck will stand when you hear 600 athletes, coaches and mission staff chant, Who are we...team Sask! Who are we...team Sask! Team Saskatchewan is comprised of the province s most talented Aboriginal athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff. Team Saskatchewan has won six North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) overall team titles since the games started in At the 2014 NAIG in Regina, Team Saskatchewan brought home 159 medals and finished in second place overall. Team Saskatchewan is looking forward to reclaiming the overall Team Title at the 2017 North American Indigenous Games in Toronto, Ontario.

3 Eagle Investment $125,000 One of the keys to Team Saskatchewan s continued success is tremendous support from the corporate community. The Eagle Investment will provide financial support for Team Saskatchewan s participation fee that is required by the North American Indigenous Games to compete in the event. 10 History of NAIG Edmonton, Alberta, Canada These Games consisted of Archery, Baseball, Canoeing, Rifle Shooting, Soccer, Swimming, Track & Field and a rodeo. The games in Edmonton attracted 3,000 athletes and Team Saskatchewan finished first overall with a count of 203 medals Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada The Games in Prince Albert attracted 4,400 athletes. Team Saskatchewan finished first overall with a count of 283 medals Blaine, Minnesota, United States of America The 1995 Games in Blaine coordinated 8,000 athletes in 17 sports: archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, canoeing, golf, lacrosse, rifle shooting, soccer, softball, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, track and field, volleyball and wrestling. Team Saskatchewan finished first overall with a count of 100 medals Victoria, British Columbia, Canada The 1997 Games featured 4,400 athletes and 3000 cultural performers. The Games included sports such as archery, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, canoeing, golf, box lacrosse, rifle shooting, soccer, softball/fastball, swimming, tae kwon do, volleyball and wrestling. Team Saskatchewan finished first overall with a count of 298 medals.

11 History of NAIG Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada hosted the 2002 North American Indigenous Games, July 25th -August 4th, With approximately 8,000-10,000 First Nations, Metis and Inuit athletes, coaches and officials, 3,000 cultural performers and 5,000 volunteers, this was the largest Aboriginal multi-sport and cultural gathering in Canadian history. Team Saskatchewan finished second overall with a count of 353 medals Denver, Colorado, United States of America The 2006 NAIG were held in Denver from July 2,-8 and featured more than 7,000 athletes representing 33 delegations from across Canada and the United States. Team Saskatchewan finished first overall with a count of 209 medals Cowichan, British Columbia, Canada The 2008 Games were held in Cowichan from August Team Saskatchewan finished first overall with 94 gold, 81 silver, 68 bronze and a total of 243 medals Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada The 2014 Games were held in Regina, Saskatchewan. Team Saskatchewan finished second overall with 72 gold, 54 silver, 33 bronze and a total of 159 medals.
