2 APPLICATION The field of applications is mainly the power cable accessory, gas insulated substation (GIS), switchgear, high voltage laboratory, university and so on. INTRODUCTION Present AC test system for GIS/GIL consist of a prestressing at a voltage level of about (1.1 3)Um 3 for some second up to some minutes following by the 1 minute test voltage in the range of ( ) Um and finished by a PD measurement at a voltage level of 1.1Um/ 3 The AC Test voltage for on site testing can either be generated by a SF6 insulated test transformer system, a conventional serial resonant test system at 50Hz or 60Hz, or a variable frequency serial resonant system with frequency range from 30Hz to 300Hz. The serial resonant test system are mainly applicable for a higher test capacitance and longer test duration. STANDARD The design and operation of the gas insulated test system meet the requirement of: IEC, ANSI/IEEE as well as other national standards. 3 ON SITE GAS INSULATED TEST TRANSFORMER HGTS (UP TO 1200KV, 4A) VERTICAL SF6 insulated test transformer system are designed for a short duty. The max output voltage up to 1200kV and 4000kVA The system can be directly flanged to a GIS or used in combination with SF6/ Air bushing. If directly flanged to a GIS via a multiflange housing an encapsulated coupling capacitor can be intergrated. With such an arrangement and the application of the conventional PD measuring method a PD level <2pC. An optimized design of a SF6/ Airbushing in combination with a low volume intermediate flange results in an easy and short time assembly procedure. To facilite handling and transport all encapsulated components are mounted on a base frame.
