Ohio Twisty Fix (233 miles, 6 hrs. with 1-hour lunchbreak) This route hits a fun bit of 16 south of Harrisville, then heads west for the second most famous rollercoaster in Ohio (OH 555). The route home includes some fine southeastern OH twisties on the way to the Ohio river. Cross the river using the Sistersville Ferry and finish with a northern approach to Harrisville. 1. START: North Bend State Park 2. Take access road to Harrisville 3. R on 16 south. Follow to jct R on 47 west. Follow jct 50 near Parkersburg 5. Follow 50 west over the new bridge to jct R on 555 north thru Chesterhill to jct R on 78 east. Follow to McConnelsville 8. Stop for lunch at the Blue Bell diner on the roundabout (60s themed diner) 9. Continue on 78 east to jct 564 just past Caldwell 10. R on 564 south to jct L on 145 north to jct R on 260 east to New Matamoras (jct 7, Ohio river) 13. L on 7 north to Sistersville 14. R to Sistersville ferry 15. Cross Ohio River 16. Continue on 18 south to jct 74 just past Joseph Mill 17. R on 74 south to Pennsville (jct 50) 18. R on 50 west to Ellenboro (jct 16) 19. L on 16 south. Follow to Harrisville. 20. If you prefer bigger elevation changes and forests to the blind rolling hills of Ohio farm country, then this route is for you. 3. START: North Bend State Park 4. Take access road to Harrisville 5. R on 16 south. Follow to jct 4 (70 miles of twisty riding!) 6. Hard left onto 4 north. Follow to Frametown / I Take I-79 north from Frametown (exit 51) to Sutton exit (jct 4, exit 62) 8. Follow 4 north to jct R on 15 east. Follow to jct 20 in Diana 10. L on 20 north. Follow to jct 4 just south of French Creek. 11. L on 4 south. Follow to jct L on 19 south. Follow to jct R on 5 north. 9 5. Half Day Twisty Fix (176 miles) This route extends the Short Little Blast route to the east and north to make for a nice 4 hour loop. 1. START: North Bend State Park 2. Follow access road to Harrisville 3. R on 16 south. Follow to jct L on 33 east. Follow to jct 47 (Linn) 5. L on 47 west. Follow to jct R on 18 north. Follow to jct R on 50 east. 11 6. New River Bridge / Twisty Overload (355 miles) The New River Bridge is an impressive structure with a nice visitor center. Lucky for you it s at the south end of an amazing 355 mile loop. This is a very full day on the bike, but what a way to spend the day! 1. START: North Bend State Park 2. Follow access road into Harrisville 3. R on 16 south.
