1 FENG SHUI TIPS FOR YOUR HOME Feng Shui (pronounced fong shway) has been utilized for centuries by the Chinese to ensure that the energy flow within and around their environment is enhanced, creating auspicious 'blessings' in life. In Feng Shui we are working with the energy meridians around us and enhancing the Chi, or beneficial energy, flow within the environment. Feng Shui can improve all aspects of our lives and is increasingly being used for both personal homes and businesses to enhance the flow of energy. Make the first impression upon entering your home a warm and welcoming one. Above the outside of any entrance door (front door, back door, sliding door, etc.) hang a Ba-Gua mirror. Make sure it is a flat Ba-Gua. There are 3 different Ba-Guas, flat, concave and convex. The concave and convex are for temporary use in certain circumstance. The flat can be put above the doors permanently. If you can not put it above the doors then put it on the doors...never use the Bagua indoors. Flat Bagua - used to protect your home, yourself, your family, family pets, and/or business from negativity & harmful influences by balancing and adjusting the Chi (energy). The flat Bagua is generally sufficient; unless there are extenuating circumstances requiring use of one of the other two. Concave Bagua - used to absorb negative energy (Shar Chi or killing energy) preventing it from entering one's home and/or office. Convex Bagua - used to diffuse and deflect negative energy (Shar Chi or killing breath) created by poison arrows (such as a tree in front of your door, sharp edges of a building or structure facing your front door. This one is rarely used as it can be harmful to your neighbors. Hang 3 Chinese coins tied together with red ribbon on the back of your front door handle. This will attract auspicious money. (Make sure you cut the ribbon in increments of 9. Such as 9", 18", 27", etc.).

2 There should be no shoes or slippers lying around outside the main door of your house. Remove it if you can. Allow that space at the main door to be free and clear. The chi (energy) rides with the wind and will collect all the smell of those shoes and slippers into your house causing sickness. Ch i then travels about in your house looking for water to stay but if there are no water fountains or fish tanks, then the Ch i will be dispersed by wind. There should be no television sets in your bedrooms: If you cannot get rid of that habit then after watching the television covers it with a plastic table cloth. Remember it has to be plastic and not simply cloth. There should be no mirrors opposite your bed or at the side of your bed. Mirrors opposite the bed can attract a third party to the relationship. Therefore, do not place mirrors anywhere you like and especially in your bedroom. Place an indoor water fountain in your home, position in a favorable area to attract whatever you want in your life. If you already have a fish tank in your house, be careful. A fish tank placed correctly can bring about greater fortune, as you will tap on the "Divine Water Dragon's Den". But if you tap wrongly, it can cause you to have lawsuits, bankruptcy, work pressure, troubles and problems. If you noticed any of these after placing the fish tank for approximately four months, shift your fish tank to another location. In your kitchen, ensure that opposite your stove there is no refrigerator, washing machine, washbasin and toilet. The fire and water crash causing family members to have disagreements. Try not to allow children to sleep on mattresses on the floor. Yes, this allows young children not to fall off beds but it also causes young children to fall sick frequently. The reason is: chi is not able to flow underneath the bed. Ideally, chi should circulate around the mattress where our children sleep to allow them to be healthy. For young children, try to have their back to the wall when they write. It is important there should be a solid wall behind a children's writing table. This allows the child to have support so that he can sit there and study longer rather than for only half an hour and then they tend to move about because there is no solid wall behind their back. Adjust your writing table. Do not allow children to sleep on double bunk beds even if it means saving space. The child sleeping underneath will not have "fresh chi" and so his health might be weak. But if due to space constraints, then monitor your child's health if not add in a metal 6 rods wind chime or a crystal sphere, to break up the "stale chi" around his bed.

3 Your bed should always have a solid wall behind you. This is important if you wish to have a good rest. A solid wall simply means that you can go into deeper sleep and therefore enabling you to have good rest so that when you wake up in the morning, you will feel fresh and well rested. This also allows you to be able to concentrate on your work better. There should be no beam on top of your bed. The beam above cause s chi to be pressured thus enabling you to have pressures in life. Therefore, don't place furniture underneath it or alternatively level the beam. But make sure if you choose the latter, it is important that you have enough height for that space. If you have a lot of work pressure, maybe it's the marble table that you have in your dinning room that causes you to have those problems. Remove that marble table and change to a wooden one or alternatively live with that work pressure! If your child usually falls sick in that bedroom: Then either change them to another bedroom or simply hang a six rod metal wind chime as the metal element will break all the EARTH ENERGIES in that room. After hanging, if the wind could not do the job for you then you will have to "chime" it yourself and then watch for the good results. Do not use a red sofa set: The colour red represent the element of fire. And for Feng Shui, some places simply cannot have the colour red in that sector. For example: the wealth area or some other sectors which without a Feng Shui check would be unable to tell you where it is. A red sofa sets gives rise to heavy work pressure, troubles and obstacles. Always open your bedroom windows at least once 20 minutes a day to allow fresh chi to come in, we do this so that it allows fresh new chi from outside to come into your bedroom, if not you will be sleeping with stale chi every night. And if that happens, then how can you expect your life to bring in more good fortune to come to you? So open that window and never mind if dusts comes in! The great good fortune that you can have will far exceeds the time you take to clean off the dust. Fu Dogs are very important as they guard the home and/or business. Purchase a pair and place them on either side of the front door, preferably outside. If you can not place them outside then put the right inside on either side of the front door. Install a pond outside that has 9 goldfish or carp; of which 8 are red or GOLD and 1 black fish. The one black fish attracts all that is negative or undesirable. If a fish dies, do not fret. It is believed that this fish absorbed

4 some bad luck that was meant for a resident of the home. Do not keep fish in the bedroom, the bathroom nor kitchen. There they will create material loss. Outside waterfalls are especially helpful in creating more cash flow. Especially, if they are placed in the far left rear corner of your back yard. Make sure your address is clearly visible from the street both day & night. Place items in your front and back yard that create motion or have eye Catching appeal. Examples: garden gazing balls, pinwheels, hand painted garden stakes and/or figurines. The brighter the colors, the better Add flowering plants, in groups of 3's along the walkway to your front door. Red is best. If possible, light the walkway to your door at night. It will do what flowers do during the day. The combination of the two will light the way' to your door. Thus, lighting the way to your wealth and prosperity. Get rid of any dried flowers in your space. They are dead and you do not want your wealth to be dead. Replace them with fake or silk. Clear away any clutter and trim over grown plants in all yard areas. Replace any cut down trees or vegetation with plants of equal or greater beauty and value. Have live plants in as many rooms as possible, if their leaves look like round coins, even better. Move your furniture around, it's fun to create something new and exciting to come home to. You will also change the flow of energy, which is good to do every so often. Remember when placing furniture, less is always best. Too much furniture can make us feel cramped and can restrict the flow of our opportunities. It is best to have bookshelves with doors on the front. But if you don't then either create make shift doors or move all the books forward so they are flush with the front of the shelf Have a garage sale and clean it out at the same time. You will not only MAKE SOME MONEY, you will improve your ability to think more clearly. And/or you will have more helpful people

5 assisting you along your life's path. Keep the kitchen well stocked with food. When we have our cupboards filled with food, we feel more abundant. Keep brooms and mops out of sight; preferably upside down. This keeps intruders out and prevent from the family's livelihood from being swept away. Clean out your closets and drawers. Give away, sell or throw away anything that you not longer use or no longer like Playing calming music like ocean waves, forest sounds or rain falling to soothe a stressful working or home environment. Do something that lifts your spirit, like placing wonderfully smelling flowers at your desk. They will give you a fresher and a rosier outlook on things. Though not in the Love & Marriage corner. Fresh flowers clashes with the element of romance, which is Earth. Add mirrors to increase the size of a small room. You will create a feeling of more space and also endless opportunities.
