1 New installation central network version We also offer an installation service for a flat fee to our customers. It is going to be a remote installation and will be carried out by an experienced moveit IT consultant. If you prefer to carry out the installation by yourself or through your administrator, please make sure that the instruction manual is carefully read and followed step by step. Please note that we do not take responsibility for errors or problems that might occur if the installation is not carried out by our IT consultant. If contrary to expectations you require technical assistance or trouble shooting in regards to the installation, we must inform you that this service will be charged. Information about expected costs can be provided to you by our consultant. This manual will guide you through the necessary installation process: Preparations on the server: The documentation General requirements for use of moveit@iss+ (current version on our homepage) shows you all the necessary software and hardware requirements. Please contact your system administrator, if TCP/IP (network protocol) is not set up on your network or if you do not know the name or IP-address of your server. On the server (local path) create a new folder (eg. C:\ISS), open the window properties and click "share this folder" in the sharing and security window. Please check the access rights, as each user who wants to work with moveit@iss+ is going to need full read and write (RW) access for all files. Alternatively you can also install moveit@iss+ into a folder, where the option "share this folder" was already set. The "share this folder" option must be selected on each client with the same network drive. In the following example, the network drive F: was used. You can use any available drive letter you want, but please note that you cannot change it after the installation moveit Software GmbH Page 1 of 9

2 In case you have an anti-virus program installed on your computer, please make sure that the processes: prowin32.exe, _mprshut.exe, _mprosrv.exe are excluded from the virus check. If this is not possible, the following file endings can be excluded alternatively: *.db, *.d1, *.b1, *.lg, *.pl, *.r, *.wrx, *.log, *.bas, *.bmp, *tif and *png. If a firewall is active, please make sure that port 2501, TCP + UDP is approved. ATTENTION: The UNC-path including the DB-name for the database can only be max. 60 integers long! The default path only got 35 integers in front of the path \moveit\iss_nt\db-name (since the path \moveit\iss_nt\db-name already got 25 integers). Therefore only 35 integers can be used for the path. Installation of moveit@iss+ The installation must be executed directly on the server! In order to avoid any problems during and after the installation, please close all programs and restart your computer. Please log in to the server as administrator. Open the Windows Explorer: Select the file from your download folder (if you have the Release Version from our Download Center). Execute now the Release_45xxxx.exe. By double click on this file you start the installation moveit Software GmbH Page 2 of 9

3 In the "Installer Language" window, choose the required language for the installation: The "Welcome" window contains general information, which is important for the installation. Click on the button [Next] to continue the installation moveit Software GmbH Page 3 of 9

4 Now tick the "Setup" option in the window "Type of installation". Click on the button [Next] to continue the installation moveit Software GmbH Page 4 of 9

5 In the window Setup settings the point Network Server must be selected. Please choose also the language and the country from the installation. Please fill in in the fields Network drive path and the local path the correct paths to your application. For the database Port 2501 is suggested normally. Every arbitrary other free port can also be selected. Click on the button [Next]. INFO: The user temp is used for the work directory. ATTENTION: Depending on how the system is used, might need more space for master and user data for the future. Therefore it is very important that you have enough space available on your computer moveit Software GmbH Page 5 of 9

7 To complete the installation, please click on the button [Finish]. The tool moveitdbcontrol is automatically installed on your server after the installation. With this tool databases can be started and stopped over a service. The database can thereby be started automatically while the server starts (without user s interaction) and stopped when the server shut down. You can start MoveITDBControl by clicking the icon on your desktop moveit Software GmbH Page 7 of 9

8 The database was already added automatically with the database name IssData. As standard port the port 2501 is applied which is also indicated on the right side near the database name. When you mark the entry in the list, below on the left you can check if the database is started (Green) or stopped. (Red). If you want to start or stop only the database, you can start this with the buttons [Datenbank starten] [Datenbank stoppen]. To work with it is necessary to install the master data of your trading partners. You get the master data over Live Update or you will find it on your homepage as download. A moveit setup licence is available for you in the first 5 days after the installation. Nevertheless, you should activate as soon as possible your licence. This is executed for a server installation by software protection server on your computer. You find a manual on our homepage under 2014 moveit Software GmbH Page 8 of 9

9 Support/Documentations/General Softwareprotection Server. During the installation the icon is on your desktop and as well as in the Windows-Start Menu. With this icon the program can be started. Please use as user and password ISS. For the daily work with we recommend to use an own user. You can create a new user under Systems/Menu/Regular users. Please check if there are new updates (program and master data) available on Live Update or on our homepage and install them. Pay attention that all updates must be installed completely and in correct order. The respective fewest program version is noted directly by the update or the adaption. The installation of program updates and master data adaptations are always executed by the same routine. Connect your client to your moveit@iss+ network version: Connect the network drive with the same drive, which was used for the installation. Start the program iss.exe which is located in the installation directory. TIP: We recommend to connect the separate clients to the server installation via a network client installation. The load of the network is thereby reduced and problems which appear because of too high network load can be avoid. The performance of the moveit@iss+ application can be also improved. Take further information for a network client installation from our manual on our homepage Save your database with regular intervals, first of all before installing an update.
