4 Introduction About This Guide The TTA Map Quick Reference Guide provides step-by-step instructions for users to view TTA request data entered into TTA360 on the TTA Map. About the TTA Map The TTA Map is a visualization tool that allows users to explore national, state, city, and congressional district data on a variety of key training and technical assistance indicators through interactive maps, charts, and tables. The data displayed on the TTA Map are pulled directly from TTA360. About the TTA360 TTA360 offers a streamlined approach for the field to access the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention s (OJJDP) Training and Technical Assistance resources and providers through a centralized request process. It unifies OJJDP s TTA providers under one system and supports the delivery of training and technical assistance from start to finish. Training and Technical Assistance Map Quick Reference Guide 1
5 View National TTA Data The TTA Map can be accessed from the NTTAC website. Step Action From the NTTAC website toolbar, click TTA Map. TTA Map Filters Use the filters to display TTA data for a specific fiscal year or TTA request topic. The data displayed on the TTA Map are pulled directly from the data entered into TTA360. Select all filters Select All under Fiscal Year or Request Topic to display TTA data for all filter options. 1 Remove all filters 2 The national view of the TTA Map is displayed. Use the options in the left panel to filter by fiscal year and request topic. Select All under Fiscal Year or Request Topic to remove all filters. Select the checkbox next to the specific fiscal year and specific request topics to display the data on the TTA Map. Viewing Total Counts The total counts displayed on the side panel show the total number of TTA requests with a status of in progress or closed/satisfied in TTA360. It also shows the total number of states with TTA requests, and the total number of participants in a TTA related event. Note: The total number participants is entered when a TTA request status is closed/satisfied. Training and Technical Assistance Map Quick Reference Guide 2
6 View National TTA Data (continued) Step Action Scroll to the bottom of the page to the following details about the TTA requests: TTA Map Details The TTA Map shows bar graph information for all TTA requests based on the filters selected. 3 Request Topics Type of Training and Technical Assistance Provided Requests by State Participants Served by State Agencies Receiving Training and Technical Assistance Audience Receiving Technical Assistance Use the scroll bars to view additional data for each category. 7 View TTA Map Data by State Follow the steps below to view TTA Map data for a state. Step Action To view TTA Map data by state, click a desired state. TTA Map Details by State When you click on a state, the initial data displayed is for all of the state data combined including all cities and all congressional districts. The TTA Map allows you to drill down to view more specific data by city and congressional district. When you click on a state, the additional details at the bottom of the page show data for the specific state, as in the example shown below for Texas. 1 To return to the national map, click the state again, or click TTA Map from the toolbar. 8 View TTA for all Cities Within a State Follow the steps in the table below to view data on the TTA Map for all cities within a state. Step Action To view TTA Map data by city, click a desired state, and then select View Requests Within State by City from the dropdown menu. TTA Map Details by City When you click View Requests Within State by City, the initial data displayed is for all cities within the selected state. 1 When you click View Requests Within State by City, the TTA Map displays all of the cities with TTA requests within the selected state. Use the zoom tools to move in and out of the map to view the cities at different scales. Training and Technical Assistance Map Quick Reference Guide 5
9 View TTA Map for all Cities Within a State (continued) Step Action When viewing data for all cities with TTA requests in a state, you will still see the overall state data. To see data for a specific city, click on a desired city. the additional details at the bottom of the page show combined data for each city, as in the example below for cities with TTA requests within Texas. TTA Map Details for All Cities Within a State You will notice that when you first select the option to view city data, the data shown is the same as when you clicked on the state. This is because you are viewing data for all cities within the state. Follow the steps on page 7 to view data for a single city within a state. 10 View TTA Map for a Single City Follow the steps in the table below to view data on the TTA Map for a single city within a state. Step 1 2 Action From the TTA Map, click a desired state. Move your mouse over the state to display the dropdown menu. TTA Map Details for a Single City The TTA Map shows data for a single city when you click on View Request Details Within Selected City. Use the zoom tools (+) (-) to expand the map to view additional city names. 3 From the dropdown menu, select View Requests Within State by City. Click the green dot representing the desired city to display additional menu options, and then click View Request Details Within Selected City. 3 Training and Technical Assistance Map Quick Reference Guide 7
11 View TTA Map for a Single City (continued) Step Action When viewing data for a single city s TTA requests, the additional details at the bottom of the page show data for the selected city, as in the example below for Dallas, Texas. TTA Map for a Single City Additional details are displayed when viewing data for a single city. The request details displayed include: TTA Provider Requesting Organization Request Topics Participants 1 The Request Topics, Type of Training and Technical Assistance Provided, Agencies Receiving Training and Technical Assistance, and Audience Receiving Training and Technical Assistance grids now show data specifically for the selected city. 12 View Requests by Congressional District Follow the steps in the table below to view requests in a state by congressional district. Step 1 2 Action From the TTA Map, click a desired state. Move your mouse over the state to display the dropdown menu. TTA Map Details by Congressional District When you click View Requests Within State by Congressional District, the TTA Map displays all congressional districts within the selected state. From the dropdown menu, click View Requests Within State by Congressional District. 3 The congressional districts with TTA requests are displayed as shown in the image below.
