4 The team Hugh von Brockdorff - Chief Executive Hugh joined the travel industry in 1974 as a junior consultant in the family business, A&V von Brockdorff - American Express and ever since, Hugh s travel career has moved through the varied ranks and responsibilities. He developed a strong Corporate Client base with both local and International Companies through personal relationships and endorsement of the American Express values, standards and worldwide reputation as well as having: been actively involved in the American Express International Network for 37 years; been a past Member of Malta Tourism Authority Advisory and Tourism Appeals Boards; received the American Express Global Travel Award 1992 Hall of Fame been a Member on the Amex EMEA Advisory board been a member on Amex Global Travel Network Advisory board since Nikki Aquilina - Corporate Travel Manager Nikki has been in the travel trade since Elder sister to Hugh, she has also always worked in the family travel business. Her vast expertise lies in outgoing travel where she has experience with both corporate and leisure travellers to all corners of the world. She manages the travel plans for many a distinguished and influential client as well as organising family holidays, honeymoons, specialised group travel, luxury cruises, European city breaks together with worldwide winter and summer resort holidays. Chris Micallef - Meetings, Incentives, Conference & Event Manager Chris is an experienced and respected MICE organiser who has been working in the tourism industry for over 30 years. Previously employed at Intertravel Ltd., through the years Chris progressed within this company till becoming Managing Director. Chris joined A.von Brockdorff in 1999 to set up and manage the Incoming Department. During these years he has handled land arrangements in Malta for numerous prestigious international and local companies ranging from 10 to over 1000 delegates. He has also been actively involved with the American Express Travel network. Chris was previously also President of the Association of Travel Agents as well as a member & treasurer on the board of the Federation of Travel & Tourism Agents (FATTA) and In Resort Tour Operator Association (IRTOA). Staff members have many years of experience in the travel trade, are IATA certified and support the management team dependably and efficiently thereby ensuring you are in good hands no matter the task and no matter the person.
