This thirty fourth annual pageant was organized by the New York-based IFC, headed by Dharmatma Saran, Founder and the Chief Organizer of the Pageant. A record number of 55 contestants took part in the pageant this year. The Hindu temple of Atlanta performed an eleven days ATI RUDRA MAHA YAGNA for world peace. Such yagnas includes number of rituals which include Rudra parayana, Rudra Abhishekams, and homams. 121 ritwiks chanted Rudram 11 times for 11 consecutive days, with abhishekams. They also performed Rudra homam everyday with 11 homa gundas. The event was attended by more than 3000 people.
