1 Ruckus SpeedFlex Wireless Assessment Tool - S.W.A.T. - is a wireless performance testing and site survey companion. Based on the open source performance test tool, SpeedFlex, this comprehensive yet easy to use application from Ruckus gives users a simple way to collect site performance data. It can be used to validate the performance of an existing installation, or assist in planning a new site deployment. Simply connect to a SpeedFlex server such as a Ruckus ZoneFlex AP or ZoneDirector - and you can instantly test network throughput and coverage. Easily import floorplans from Dropbox or snap a quick photo using the camera, and you can plot results with a graphical representation of your actual environment. 3 Name Project Give it a name and optional description If no name is given, it will create one based on date/time Ruckus SWAT Page 3

4 Add Survey You can add multiple surveys to a particular project Ruckus SWAT Page 4

5 Delete option You can delete surveys or projects by clicking the delete button Ruckus SWAT Page 5

6 Setup floor plan You can import from Dropbox, use the camera or Photo Gallery. Images MUST be no larger than 1024x768 and less than 1.2MB in size. You will receive an error if larger. Ruckus SWAT Page 6

7 Dropbox permissions You must have Dropbox installed and give permission for the application to access. Ruckus SWAT Page 7

10 Scale Tap Scale button to select 2 points of reference on the image. This will be remember and displayed when you click Scale. Ruckus SWAT Page 10

11 Add APs and Survey points You can add APs for reference ONLY. They do NOT affect your results. They are optional. Ruckus SWAT Page 11

13 Survey Points Tap Survey Point to access your test points. Tap on the location where you are or will run the test. You can name the point or allow it to auto generate a label based on date/time. You can rename or delete by long pressing the point. Click Done when ready to run throughput test. Ruckus SWAT Page 13

14 Delete / Rename Survey Point Just tap and hold on a point and it will allow you to rename or delete. There is no concept of moving a test result, since that would invalidate the actual testing. If you need to retest, delete and create a new survey point. Ruckus SWAT Page 14

15 SpeedFlex results Now you can click on the survey point and the test will run based on your settings. You will get back: test direction and protocol (in header label) Throughput Packet loss Data rate (in Mbps) RSSI Wi-Fi Channel Frequency Ruckus SWAT Page 15

16 Survey colors The labels will be colored based upon the legend on the heat map screen. You will see results in the label (can turn off in settings).
