2 INTRODUCTION ritish Columbia Geography is a workbook for grade 3-7, reproducible for classroom use only. It covers the basics of C geography, such as borders, rivers, lakes, cities, land regions, landmarks, islands, mountain ranges, mountains, highways, national and provincial parks and points of interest. The workbook is based on the LearnSmart political and physical colour map of ritish Columbia and the two reference sheets called C at a Glance and C Facts included at the beginning of the book. It is a fun-way for students to learn ritish Columbia s geography. It is suitable for social studies activities in the classroom, ESL students, home schooling and students with special needs. The pages of ritish Columbia Geography can be used for teaching, reviewing and testing. They can be used consecutively or randomly as needed, and they can be used at different grade levels. The first half of ritish Columbia Geography consists of clearly outlined lessons and corresponding maps, designed to eliminate preparation time. The focus is on teaching students the basics of ritish Columbia s geography by using illustrations, charts and maps. The second half of ritish Columbia Geography reinforces and tests students on the subject matter by using lots of pictures, drawings and illustrations. Each page has a section called encourages creative thinking and problem-solving..
