1 Homebase Intouch Text Message Change on August 19 th SUMMARY The Homebase Intouch Team is implementing a change to the way that Homebase Intouch sends text messages. Currently, we use a method known as a long code that sends text messages from the Homebase Intouch phone number: We are changing to a new technology that uses a short code. As of Monday August 19 th, agents will start receiving text messages from the short code number 66914, instead of receiving texts from The use of a short code will enable Homebase Intouch to send messages at a much faster rate per second, at a higher volume and with no limitations WHO IS IMPACTED? Agents that use Homebase Intouch to accept leads via text message. WHAT IS IMPACTED? The ability for agents to accept leads via text message if their company is utilizing Voic Claim Times. WHAT IS NOT IMPACTED? The ability to press 2, after accepting a lead over the phone, to receive a confirmation of the client info by text message. WHEN IS THE CHANGE? Beginning, Monday August 19 th, any text message from Homebase Intouch will be sent from the short code Product & Services Group Homebase Intouch Product Team

2 WHAT AGENTS NEED TO DO Agents Currently Receiving Text Messages If you are currently receiving text messages from Homebase Intouch, you will receive a text message on Monday August 19 th that gives you the ability to Opt-in or Opt-out of the new text messaging service. It is important that all agents who want to continue receiving text messages from Homebase Intouch Opt-In to the new service, even if they are currently set up in Homebase Intouch to receive text messages. If agents Do Not Opt-In, they will NO longer receive text messages from Homebase Intouch. 1) The text message will be sent to your cell phone from on Monday August 19 th and will read: Text YES to join Homebase Intouch Messages. Msg&data rates may apply. 1 msg/lead. 2) Text YES to to Opt-In 3) SUCCESS! Homebase Intouch will then send a text message to the agent that they have successfully opted in with the following: Thanks for joining Homebase Intouch Messages. Msg&data rates may apply. 1 msg/lead. 2 Product & Services Group Homebase Intouch Product Team

3 WHAT AGENTS NEED TO DO Agents Not Currently Receiving Text Messages If agents have never accepted leads via text message and would like to they will need to opt-in to the new text messaging service: 1) Agents will need to login to Homebase Intouch on their computer and click the Profile link in their account. 2) Accept SMS Messages will be set to No. Click Edit and change this setting to Yes. 3) Click the Terms and Conditions link to review This link will open in a new tab, close the tab when finished reviewing 4) Check Accept Terms and Conditions and click Submit 5) Homebase Intouch will then send a text message to your cell phone from and it will read: 6) Text YES to to Opt-In Text YES to join Homebase Intouch Messages. Msg&data rates may apply. 1 msg/lead. 7) SUCCESS! Homebase Intouch will send a text message to the agent that they have successfully opted in with the following: Thanks for joining Homebase Intouch Messages! 4 IMPORTANT NOTES Certain keywords (HELP, STOP, etc.) are part of the short code service. 5 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: When do the new text messaging changes take effect? A: Monday August 19 th. Q: What is the new number I will receive Homebase Intouch text messages from? A: You will now receive text messages from a short code. The new short code number is Q: Can I save in my phone contacts? A: Yes, save as a contact in your phone and call it LeadRouter that way you will recognize when LeadRouter sends you text messages. Q: I used to receive text messages from Homebase Intouch and now they are not being sent to my phone. What do I need to do? A: Text Yes to Q: I have never received text messages from Homebase Intouch. How do I Opt-In to receive text messages? A: If you have never received text messages from Homebase Intouch, you will need to Opt-in by going to your Homebase Intouch Profile and changing the Accept SMS Messages option to Yes. You will then receive an Opt-in text message from Homebase Intouch and you need to reply with Yes. Q: I accidentally deleted the Opt-In text message from Homebase Intouch. How do I Opt-in? A: Text Yes to Q: How do I Opt-Out of Homebase Intouch text messages? A: Text STOP to or login to your Homebase Intouch Profile and change the Accept SMS Messages option to No. Q: I have opted in and need help with text messaging. How can I get help? A: Text Help to or contact the Help Desk at Product & Services Group Homebase Intouch Product Team

6 Q: What type of text message will I not receive if I do not opt in? A: You will not receive the text message to accept leads via text if your company is using voic claim times. You will still be able to get the text confirmation by pressing 2 once you accept a lead over the phone. Q: When I receive leads over the phone I usually press 2 to receive a text message confirmation of the lead details. Do I need to Opt-in to receive these going forward? A: No, you will still be able to receive this type of text message without opting in. Q: I haven t opted in yet, but I texted Yes to What message do I receive? A: If your cell phone is listed in your Homebase Intouch Profile, you will be automatically opted in and your Profile will update the Accept SMS Messages from No to Yes. You will now be able to receive text messages from the system. Q: What are the Terms & Conditions of the text messaging service?
