3 WHO ARE WE PROJECT FUTURES is a not-for-profit organisation whose objective is to end global human trafficking and slavery by empowering individuals to take action in their own communities. We encourage and support victims and survivors of this crime by partnering with service providers in Australia and Cambodia in three key areas. PREVENTION SUPPORT SERVICES EMPOWERMENT PROJECT FUTURES started in 2009 by one person taking a stand. Founder and CEO, Stephanie Lorenzo used her skills and talents in marketing and events to grow PROJECT FUTURES to what it is today. That effect has multiplied to thousands of individuals taking action on this issue. PROJECT FUTURES provides opportunities for passionate young professionals to apply their time, talents and expertise for-purpose; supporting them to make a positive and meaningful contribution to the cause.

4 ? WHAT IS HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND SLAVERY Human trafficking involves the recruitment of persons through force, coercion, deception or abduction for the purpose of exploitation. Victims are then enslaved and found working in industries such as construction, hospitality, the sex industry, agriculture and domestic work. 3RD LARGEST CRIME INDUSTRY Human trafficking and slavery is the third largest international crime industry. 2 MILLION CHILDREN** Will be sold into the sex trade in the next year. $32 BILLION DOLLARS Is estimated to be generated by this trade every year.* 35.8 MILLION ENSLAVED In our world today.* *Source: Global Slavery Index, Walk Free ** Source: UNICEF

8 OUR IMPACT PROJECT FUTURES partners with service providers that work to end human trafficking and slavery in three key areas PREVENTION SUPPORT SERVICES EMPOWERMENT Education and awareness in the community allows us to respond to potential signs of exploitation occurring and intervene to stop a potentialtraffickingorslavery situation. Advocating for systemic changeisnecessarytocreate environments free from slavery and exploitation. For victims of this human rightsabuse,comprehensive services must exist to help thoseaffectedthrive,notjust survive. Services include accommodation, mental health and medical support, provision of legal representation, recreation programs, education and vocational skills training. Breaking the cycle of vulnerabilityandcelebrating the transition from victim to survivor is about identifying andprovidingopportunities that lead to independence. Critical to this is education and vocational skills training resulting in stable full time employment.

9 OUR BENEFACTORS 72.7% of trafficked victims are in Asia resulting in our current focus supporting organisations working in this region, including Australia. As our network grows PROJECT FUTURES will join forces with other local and international anti-slavery organisations. Our current benefactors are: AUSTRALIA THE SALVATION ARMY Trafficking and Slavery Safe House opened in 2008 and remains the only supported accommodation service in Australia for victims of human trafficking or slavery. Freedom Advocates Project empowers survivors to become advocates of change. CHILD WISE The Child Wise Protective Behaviours Program promotes empowerment strategies, clear communication and awareness of safe behaviours for school-aged children in order to prevent them from becoming victims of abuse, particularly sexual abuse. INTERNATIONAL AFESIP CAMBODIA Founded in 1996 in Cambodia, AFESIP Cambodia combats both the impact and the enablers of sex trafficking, slavery and exploitation of young women and girls through outreach, recovery programs, training and education, as well as the reintegration of survivors. CAMBODIAN CHILDREN S TRUST Established in 2007, CCT works with children and families in Battambang Cambodia to become educated, ethical and empowered leaders in their community, supporting them to break free from the cycle of poverty.
