6 Additional Information Relevant Projects Education and Training Studies and Evaluation (In alphabetic order) Antizipationsmechanismen und Qualitätssicherung in der österreichischen Berufsbildung (Models of Anticipation of Qualifications and Quality Assurance in the Austrian Vocational Education System) Researcher: Claudia Plaimauer contributed to the analysis of methods for early skills recognition used in Austria. A major quality characteristic of the Austrian VET system is the orientation on current economical and technological developments and on labor market needs. An ongoing anticipation of qualifications and labor market developments is therefore a necessary measurement. All concepts in the area of vocational abilities were considered, independent of their manner of acquisition (formally, informally acquired, innate) or their visibility on the labour market and independent of any judgements about their importance. Every two years more than Austrian enterprises (> 20 employees) are being surveyed by the Austrian Labour Market Board (AMS) to get insight into the development of the regional labour force and into qualification demand. Claudia Plaimauer was responsible for coding terms for skills and occupations.
