Call to Ode Boad Pesident 1.1 Call to Ode Boad Pesident Bill Kess called the Mach 4, 2015 Special Meeting to ode at 7:11 p.m. 1.2 Pledge of Allegiance Kimbely Case led all those pesent in the Pledge of Allegiance. 2 2. Wok Session 2.1 Pesentation of the Supeintendent s Poposed Budget, Poposed Technology Budget and Poposed Special Education Budget Supeintendent of Schools M. Raymond Sanchez and Assistant Supeintendent fo Business Ms. Alita Zube povided an oveview of the Supeintendent s poposed budget. M. Sanchez eviewed the poposed fiscal education plan pioities: Solvency Secuity Space Pofessional Leaning M. Sanchez eviewed pojected enollment, class size, academic suppot sevices, safety and secuity and stated that the poposed budget maintains pogams and attempts to addess class size Ms. Zube stated that until New Yok State Govene Andew Cuomo eleases the State Budget infomation, the Distict cannot submit a complete budget. Ms. Zube encouaged the community to continue its advocacy effots. Budget discussions will continue and as soon as the State eleases its budget infomation, that infomation will be taken into consideation in the poposed budget and the community will be infomed. Boad discussion took place. Diecto of Pupil Pesonnel Sevices Ms. Maueen Boozang-Hill pesented the budget poposals as they petain to the Distict's special education pogams. Ms. Boozang-Hill eviewed the famewok of the poposed budget on a page-by-page basis: Vision Budget-to-budget inceases Recods Management Office Tuition Othe Disticts Instuctional Diecto of Pupil Pesonnel Sevices Tuition and Related Sevices Speech/Language and Heaing Impaied Sevices BOCES Placements Resouce Room/Consultant and Suppot Psychological Sevcies Registation/Attendance Social Woke The poposed Special Education Budget maintains suppots and sevices fo students, continues to meet State mandates egading timeliness of evaluations and eevaluations, continues to meet esponsibilities by Fedeal and State egulations, ensues student success within the Distict cuiculum and is within all legal mandates. Boad discussion took place. Diecto of Technology, M. Jeemy Luft, and Assistant Diecto, Ms. Jennife Fosbeg, povided an oveview of the poposed Distict Technology budget, including the Libay Media budget. The poposed Technology Budget suppots distictwide technology initiatives and focuses on student achievement, aises the ba, povides

3 feedback, suppots eseach and staff development. The poposed budget suppots the Long Range Plan, staffing, mateials, equipment, infastuctue, libay sevices, online esouces, student infomation and data, administative pogams, and document etention sevices. Boad discussion took place. Membes of the Boad thanked M. Sanchez, Ms. Zube, Ms. Boozang-Hill, M. Luft and Ms. Fosbeg. 3. Audience Recognition Agenda Items Only None. 4. Special Meeting Business of the Boad Steve Wadwell moved and Kimbely Case seconded the motion to move esolutions 4.1 though Resolution to Abolish a Cental Office Administative Position WHEREAS, the Boad of Education has eceived fom the Supeintendent of Schools ecommendations fo the eoganization of Cental Office Administation fo the school yea; and WHEREAS, the Boad of Education has detemined that it is in the best inteest of the Ossining Union Fee School Distict to effectuate said ecommendation; and WHEREAS, based upon those ecommendations the Boad of Education detemined that thee is an opeational need to eliminate the position of Diecto of Teaching and Leaning, effective July 1, 2015; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that effective July 1, 2015, the Boad of Education heewith abolishes the full-time position of Diecto of Teaching and Leaning. 4.2 Resolution to Abolish a Cental Office Administative Position WHEREAS, the Boad of Education has eceived fom the Supeintendent of Schools ecommendations fo the eoganization of Cental Office Administation fo the school yea; and WHEREAS, the Boad of Education has detemined that it is in the best inteest of the Ossining Union Fee School Distict to effectuate said ecommendation; and WHEREAS, based upon those ecommendations the Boad of Education detemined that thee is an opeational need to eliminate the position of Assistant Supeintendent fo Administative Sevices, effective July 1, 2015; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that effective July 1, 2015, the Boad of Education heewith abolishes the full-time position of Assistant Supeintendent fo Administative Sevices. 4.3 Resolution Regading Compensation fo Pe Diem Substitute WHEREAS, in accodance with Boad of Education Policy , the Boad at its eoganization meeting on July 1, 2014, established the pe diem substitute ate fo the school yea; and

4 WHEREAS, in accodance with said ate, June Hedley has been eaning $ as a leave eplacement fo the Distict since Decembe 22, 2014; and WHEREAS, due to unfoeseen cicumstances the Distict wishes to extend the leave eplacement position of June Hedley beyond Febuay 13, 2015; and BE IT RESOLVED, that the Boad of Education heewith extends the cuent leave eplacement position of June Hedley to on o about Mach 12, 2015; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that based upon said extension, Ms. Hedley shall continue to ean $ pe day. 4.4 Resolution Regading an Ageement Between the Ossining Union Fee School Distict and The Childen s Aid Society National Cente fo community Schools RESOLVED that the Boad of Education of the Ossining Union Fee School Distict heeby appoves the Ageement with The Childen s Aid Society National Cente fo Community Schools; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon ecommendation of Counsel the Boad of Education of the Ossining Union Fee School Distict authoize the Supeintendent of Schools to execute said Ageement. 4.5 Resolution Regading an Ageement By and Between the Ossining Union Fee School Distict and Ossining Suppot Staff Association Concening Unpaid Pesonal Leave RESOLVED, that the Boad of Education of the Ossining Union Fee School Distict authoize the Supeintendent of Schools to execute the Ageement. 4.6 Resolution Calling fo the Annual Budget Heaing and Annual Distict Election RESOLVED, that the Notice calling fo the Annual Budget Heaing and the Annual Distict Election of the Ossining Union Fee School Distict found on the following pages be adopted. 4.7 Resolution Appointing an Additional Consultant fo the School Yea RESOLVED, that the Boad of Education heeby authoizes the Supeintendent of Schools to engage the sevices of the following consultant fo the school yea at fees not to exceed the amount noted below. of Consultant Bief Desciption of Expetise Desciptive Need fo Consultant Speaking event at Ossining High School on Fiday, Mach 27, 2015 Consultation Fee Not to Exceed Hoop Deams with Chis Heen Public Speaking $5,200 [Gant Funded] Motion caied: Special Meeting Pesonnel Mattes Fank Schnecke moved and Lisa Muay seconded the motion to move esolutions 5.1 though 5.4. A decision will be made at a futue date. Supeintendent of Schools Raymond Sanchez thanked the community fo thei continued advocacy effots egading Foundation Aid and the State Budget. M. Sanchez eviewed the couse desciption fo a poposed new ½ cedit couse at Ossining High School fo gades entitled, Unified Spots. Unified Spots bing togethe athletes with and without vaying disabilities to tain and compete on the same team. Thoughout the yea, in a vaiety of spots anging fom basketball to volleyball, Unified Spots athletes will impove thei physical fitness, shapen thei skills and have the unique oppotunity to paticipate in spots with students fom ou outstanding Life Skills pogam. Students will also have the chance to voluntee at Special Olympic events such as ou Pionee League. At the conclusion of Boad discussion, unanimous onsensus was eached by the Boad egading the poposed new couse. 7.
