3 1. INTRODUCTION This document is intended as a technical resource for the installation, setup and use of the Quick Order Module for Magento. This extension is plug& Play and is compatible with Magento community version 1.6, 1.7 & 1.8 This extension allows customers to quickly add products to shopping cart using product SKU on your store without browsing through a hierarchy of categories. 2. Overview Magento is an open source e-commerce CMS that uses a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) architecture. As an open source platform, the modifications one could make to their website are limitless. With this in mind the integration was developed to incorporate as close to core Magento API functionality as possible. By installing Quick order in your website you can allow customer to add more than one product to shopping cart at once from one page. Customer can also add configurable, bundle & grouped products to shopping cart at once. 3. Requirements 1. Magento Community Edition v1.6& Above 2. Quick Order Extension Module 3. Magento Administrative Privileges 4. Features This is a Third Party Module to integrate with Magento. It has following features: 1. User can add more than one product to shopping cart at once using product SKU. 2. User can see the name of product on entering SKU in quick order from. 3. User will be able to select option for configurable, bundle & grouped products on the quick order from. 4. User can also select the custom options of a product from quick order form. 5. Admin User can restrict the maximum limit of products to be add to cart at once, from admin panel 6. Admin user enable of disable image of product on quick order page.

4 5. Installation 5.1 Quickorder Manual Installation Below are the steps to install Quick Order module 1. Obtain a copy of the Quick Order module 2. Unzip the Module files into a local directory. 3. Move all files into their respective directories in your Magento installation directory on the FTP server as they appear after unzipping the package. 4. Clear cache from Magento admin panel under System > Cache Management. 5. Log Out of your Magento Admin and then log back in. (This refreshes the Magento ACL date which effects your administrative permissions. You will not see expected module behavior until you do this. You may also need to refresh your cache.) 6. After all copying is complete browse to your Magento homepage in order to complete the module install 7. You should now have a General and Frontend section in your Admin Panel under System>Configurations>Perficient extensions>quick Order 8. Enable Quick Order Extension from General section. 9. Quick Order is now enabled. You can add products to shopping cart from frontend. 10.You can configure frontend visibility from Frontend Section 6. Configuration All configurations can be managed from the Magento Admin Panel PERFICIENT EXTENSIONS->Quick Order. Section Front End can be used to configure the visibility at the user end.

5 Figure Minimum no. of option field allowed on order from: This is the minimum no. of fields to be shown on quick form on frontend. If this value is empty or having 0 value, then by default it will set to Maximum No. of products allowed per page : This is the maximum no. of fields to be shown on quick form on frontend. User can t add products more than this value. If this value is empty or having 0 value, then by default it will set to 10. Also it should greated than Minimum no. of option field allowed on order from. If entered value will be less than this value then Minimum no. of option field allowed on order from " would be consider as the maximum value. 3. Show product image on Order Form: If it is set to yet, then product thumbnail image will be shown on quick order form. 6.1 Enable Quick Order Extension Go to System>Configuration>Perficient Extension>Quick Order>General and set this to yes to enable the extension Figure Once the module is enabled, Link Quick Order can be noticed at the front end with the top links Figure 6.1-2

6 6.2 Add products to cart from with quick order Refer to the top link QUICK ORDER on frontend. A form will get be shown. Figure User can add & remove the fields by clicking Add more lines & Remove Items links respectively. Enter SKU of products to be add to shopping cart. Name of that product will automatically get shown under description. If product is configurable, bundle or grouped, option for that product will get load and user will be able to select them.

7 Figure Note: Quantity box won t be shown for below products : Product is disable Product which is out of stock Products which are not supported (i.e. downloadable, virtual & giftcard) Grouped Product (as there is no use QTY box for group product, as we have to specify quantity of its option only) If visibility of product is set to not visible individually When all products are loaded user can add then by clicking Quick Order button. After placing quick order you will redirected to shopping cart.

8 Figure Technical Information Following are the files required for the extension: The Quick Order module has the following components: Controllers: The Quick Order Module overrides Mage_Checkout_CartController. Model: Contains all Model files providing data, service related to data and business logic. Block: Contains all block files which defines how to present data. Sql : The Quick Order Module doesn t create any database table. Frontend: This module has below files for frontend: o \app\design\frontend\default\default\template\perficient\quickorder : Contains the template files o \app\design\frontend\default\default\layout\perficient\ : Contains the layout file 8. Un-installation Below are the steps to un-install the application Remove design files from below folders

9 o \ app\design\frontend\default\default\template\perficient\quickord er: remove the template files of Quick Order o \app\design\frontend\default\default\layout\perficient\ : remove the layout file Quick Order Remove Module Activation file: o Remove Perficient_Quickorder.xml from \app\etc\modules\ folder Remove Module from Code : o Remove files form app\code\local\perficient\ of Quick Order. Remove skin files from below folder : o Remove files form skin\frontend\default\default \css\perficient\quickorder\ of Quick Order. o Remove files form skin\frontend\default\default \images\perficient\quickorder\ of Quick Order. o Remove files form skin\frontend\default\default \js\perficient\quickorder\ of Quick Order. Remove Database Entries of modules : o Run below queries in database DELETE FROM `<prefix>core_config_data` WHERE <prefix>core_config_data.path LIKE '%quickorder%' 9. Unsupported Features & Known Issues 10. Quick order does not support Virtual, Downloadable & Giftcard type s products. 11. Troubleshooting 1. If Quantity box not get visible after entering product SKU, then there can be below reasons: Product is disable Product is out of stock Product type is not supported (i.e. downloadable, virtual & giftcard) Product is Grouped Product (as there is no use QTY box for group product, as we have to specify quantity of its option only) Visibility of product is set to not visible individually Product (configurable, bundle & grouped) don t have any option. (as any configurable, bundle or grouped product is not having any option, then its status become out of stock in Magento)
