Each notification may be removed as needed by sliding the plaque out of the holder. *Extensions for departments not moving to the Lundquist Tower will change later this year. 14 Fire, Safety, and Codes FIRE SAFETY PROCEDURES RACE Rescue patients in endangered fire area. Alarm: Use the nearest fire alarm pull station. Dial 88 to report more information Contain the fire and smoke by closing all windows and doors. Evacuate the impacted area Locate the fire alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers and emergency exits in your area. Remember their locations. GENERAL FIRE & LIFE SAFETY Ensure hallways and corridors are free of clutter. ONLY crash carts and isolation carts are allowed in the hallways. For patient safety, hand rails are to be accessible. Ensure fire alarm pull stations, extinguishers, electrical panels, and medical gas valves are free of obstruction. Do not prop open doors.
