While you re having fun this summer, don t forget the library. Adult, teen, or child, we have a Summer Reading Club for you. If you re a reader, why should you miss out on all the fun? Please check with the Circulation Desk for details. For some, summer is the time to relax, enjoy the great weather, and kick up your heels. Not the library! We ll be here to make sure you find what you want to bring along on vacation. All we ask is please don t bring back the books packed with beach sand or waterlogged from white water rafting adventure! Just kidding, we know you would never do that. And when you do stop by to return or pick up books, please tell us what you have been up to this summer. 5 CHILDREN S PROGRAMS Friday, July 29 2:00 pm Mr. John Arthur Children s Concert Summer Songs with Mr. John Mr. John performs fun, interactive songs perfect for children 2-7 and their adults. Be ready to dance, sing along, and play your air guitars while Mr. John shares some of his songs as well as some well-known favorites. Registration is required for all children s programs, unless otherwise stated. Please register at the circulation desk or by phone. PICK UP A MONTHLY CALENDAR FOR A COMPLETE SCHEDULE OF ALL CHILDREN S PROGRAMS Friday, August 12 6:30 pm Miss Lynn s Children s Concert Move, Move, Move An active body is as key to a healthy life as an active mind! An interactive family concert with Nashville singer-songwriter Miss Lynn, kids and adults will engage their bodies, hearts and imaginations. Including her original songs, Clap My Feet, Itty Bitty Nitty Gritty, and Ready to Go, along with other original and traditional songs, Miss Lynn s musical storytelling is well-suited for young audiences ages 2-9 and their adults. 6 LMxAC BINGO Celebrating 30 Years of Shared Library Services Since 1986, LMxAC has assisted its member libraries in providing cost-effective shared library services to their local communities. To celebrate our 30 th anniversary, LMxAC and its member libraries are hosting LMxAC Bingo. All Bingo winners will receive gift cards from national chain stores such as Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Panera, and Target. All players completing their Bingo cards will be entered in a drawing for the grand prize an ipad mini. The contest is open to all patrons at LMxAC s 30 member libraries and branches. To enter, patrons simply visit their local library and pick up an LMxAC bingo card. Each bingo card has 30 numbers and 6 activity spaces. Each library has been assigned a random number from For libraries with multiple branches, each branch has the same number. Patrons have their LMxAC Bingo cards stamped by visiting each member library. To earn a stamp on one of the activity spaces, such as Check out a Book, a patron simply needs to complete that activity at any member library and request a stamp. LMxAC Bingo cards may be returned to any LMxAC library. Players earning six stamps in a row either diagonally, vertically, or horizontally will receive gift cards for a national chain store. Players completing their cards (a stamp in every space) will be entered in a drawing for an ipad mini. The contest runs from June 15 through August 15, Page 6 July / August, 2016
