1 General Frontier Secure FAQs Will my existing Verizon Online value-added services continue to work after April 1, 2016? Yes. All existing Verizon Online value-added services will continue to work after April 1, However, there will be some changes to a few services. You can find out about these changes by accessing the FAQ specific to the service. Will there be any change in price or plans for Internet value-added services? No. There will be no change to your existing plan or price. They will continue to remain the same. This applies to both a-la-carte and bundled offerings. You can however choose to move to a better plan, at a much better price offered by Frontier Secure. As an existing Broadband customer you will also qualify for a $5 Security Credit when you move over to one of Frontier Secures products or bundles. Starting April 1, 2016, you will no longer have access to the My Verizon portal through which you used to access your services. Though not all services required you to use it, there are some services that are impacted by the change. They are: Verizon Cloud Back-Up Verizon Websites Verizon Games Verizon Internet Security Suite or Multi-Device Security Please refer to the service-specific FAQ to know how you can access the service going forward. 2 Security Services Will my Internet Security Suite service work as-is starting on April 1, 2016? Yes. There will be no change to the service and it will continue to work on the devices on which you have already installed the client. However there will be a couple of limitations. You will not have access to your Management Portal to manage the security on all your devices You will not be able to download the security client on any new device. Will the price change on my Internet Security Suite? No. There will be no change to your monthly price for the service. You will continue to be billed at your current price. What do I need to do if I want to install McAfee Internet Security on a new device after April 1? Unfortunately you will not be able to install the security client of McAfee that is provided to you by Verizon or on any new device after April 1, However, Frontier offers its own security product that is far superior and at a very low price. 3 How do I run an Internet security scan? How to scan your computer for viruses using McAfee VirusScan Right-click the McAfee icon in your system tray and select Check for updates. When the update completes, right-click the McAfee icon and select Scan. Select the type of scan you want to run. The scan options are: Full - Scans your entire computer for known threats. Quick - Scans only the most susceptible parts of your computer for known threats. Custom - Manually select the drives, folders, and other locations you want to scanquick - Scans only the most susceptible parts of your computer for known threats. When the scan completes, check the message for the details of the scan. NOTE: To see the results for any suspicious files, click View Results. If View Results is not available, VirusScan did not detect any threats. Click OK. How do I uninstall Internet Security Suite service from McAfee? Download and run the McAfee Consumer Product Removal (MCPR) tool: Download the MCPR tool from: save it to a folder on your computer. IMPORTANT: The MCPR tool is updated periodically when new products and updates are released. Always download a new copy of the MCPR tool before using it to uninstall your product. Navigate to the folder where you saved the file, and double-click MCPR.exe. When you see the User Account Control dialog box, click Yes. At the McAfee Software Removal screen, click Next. At the End User License Agreement (EULA) dialog box, click Next to accept the agreement. When prompted, type the Captcha information, which is case-sensitive, to validate to application security, and then click Next. If you have Family Protection installed, type your Administrator user name and password and click Next.

4 If you cannot authenticate, follow the on-screen instructions to obtain an uninstall code. If you do not have Family Protection installed, you will not receive this authentication prompt. When you see the message CleanUp Successful, restart your computer. Your McAfee product will not be fully removed until after the restart. How do I download the new backup client on my PC or Mac? 5 Cloud Backup Service How do I access my Cloud Backup service? You will have to download the Content Anywhere client of Frontier Secure to access the service. You should have already received an with your new sign-in credentials and download links to the client. 9 Webhosting Will my web hosting plan change after April 1, 2016? No. There will be no change to the plan or the coverage provided under the plan you have subscribed to. They will continue to remain the same. However, if you received a Verizon letter or in March pertaining to your service, you must establish a direct business relationship with the underlying provider, Homestead. How do I access my web hosting service starting April 1, 2016? If you are a residential customer, you will access the service over sitecontrol.domains.ncnetwork.net. If you are a business customer, you will access the service over sitecontrol.webhosting.ncnetwork.net.
