1979 Born in Haiti 1986 Arrived in France 1994 First attempts at paper folding in a public library 1997 Joined the French Movement of Paper Folders (MFPP) PAPER SCULPTOR 2000 Founded CRIMP (International Research Centre for Folded Sculptures) 2004 Admitted to the Nippon Origami Association 2014 Highly recognized sculptor and origami artist; several hundred creations and exhibitions to his name In short JUNIOR FRITZ JACQUET Biography Junior Fritz Jacquet folds, creases, and molds sheets of paper and cardboard, creating remarkable and stunning pieces of art all without the help of cutting or pasting. Evocative masks, compositions that recall the natural world, figures that take the shape of the artist s imagination, luminous and ethereal sculptures... A sculptor originating from Haiti, Junior takes origami to a whole new level, journeying into previously unexplored territory and thus giving rise to a very unique style. His work is present in some of the of most prestigious sanctuaries of paper folding in the world: the Origami Gallery (Tokyo) and the Mingei International Museum (San Diego).
MASK COLLECTION This vast collection of masks explores the unpredictable and fascinating expressions of imaginary faces. Laughter, fatigue, sadness, complacency, anger Mirrors of our own emotions and frames of mind, Junior Fritz Jacquet s masks make us laugh as often as they make us cry. Each mask is a unique work of art and is formed from a simple toilet paper roll. These original folding techniques were developed by the artist himself. His models are given a patina and lacquered with various pigments. DECORATIVE ART FOR THE IMAGINATION This model is created from a single piece of paper, THE BONHOMME is given a resin patina, and is then lacquered CANELLE in different colors. A whimsical figure, Bonhomme Canelle evokes the playful and spontaneous part of each of us. His movements are like his spirit: real, funny, talkative. Full of energy, he roars with laughter, takes off in a sprint, crashes out of breath, taps his foot incessantly. Tired, he leans back, chats nonchalantly and finally nods off to sleep. This model is created from a single piece of cardboard, is given a resin patina. THE NATURALS The naturals transport us back to our beginnings the ground, the earth, nature, our roots. Like a painting, these models tell Man s story, and recount his battles, his dreams, his desire for freedom and his chains. Oznoon, a expressive collection of luminous sculptures, was created by the artist Junior Fritz Jacquet. Lightness, finesse, mystery - these sculptures elicit an infinite number of emotions that speak to our imagination and inspire our daily life. Oznoon is also a rare metamorphosis of paper - each model playing with different shapes, folds, creases, shadows and light. Created from wax paper, Oznoon creations are eco-design, and reminiscent of natural forms.
HEAD IN THE CLOUDS A FLOWERY NIGHT OUT IN PARIS CIRRUS EXCLUSIVELY AT ROCHE BOBOIS Collaboration Raise your eyes, and look to the sky, higher and higher head in the clouds, peeking through the porthole into the hereafter dream! Cotton, a light mist. Travel, fly away. The Cirrus model has been sold for several years exclusively at Roche Bobois. NUIT BLANCHE AT THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES, PARIS Exhibition The Coralys model was the star of the evening 120 lamps graced the 12 th edition of the Nuit Blanche on October 5, 2013 in Paris at the National Archives, the Hôtel de Soubise. All Coralys models were created with a single sheet of fireproof paper and illuminated with colored light bulbs that conform to European standards. Different configurations are available such as posed and suspended.
INTELLIGENCE IN ACTION A LITTLE BIT OF PAPER FOR TONI & GUY ORIGAMI FOR NISSAN Partnership Origami is a fascinating passion without limits. Its enchanting nature completely transforms an ordinary piece of paper through folding, the paper releases its potential, shares its secret. Like a magician who pulls a rabbit out of his hat, hands give birth to a colorful butterfly, a mischievous monkey, or a bird of paradise and like NISSAN s intelligent vehicles, scale and capacity have no limits OZNOON STYLES TONI & GUY Creation Someone had to do it, and Oznoon stepped up to the plate. After the metallic dress by Paco Rabanne, the meat dress for Lady Gaga, the chocolate dress at the Salon du Chocolat, introducing the paper dress! But not just any paper dress Oznoon s creation subtly combines wax paper and tissue paper, only held together by intricate folds and creases and formed from a single sheet of each. The robes for TONI & GUY were used as part of the Art Director s Show at Studio Zero Paris.
BRIGHT IDEAS SINCE 2003 DISCOVER THE COLLECTION Technical aspects All OZNOON models are created from a single sheet of wax paper and are sculpted by hand. These luminous works of art conform to European standards. Each model comes complete with a cable and switch, the length of which can be adapted to your specific needs. The light bulb is also furnished on demand and in accordance with different country norms and specifications. Copyright OZNOON by Junior Fritz Jacquet. Any reproductions are forbidden.
