1 AREA TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM Jaipur Development Authority installed ATCS (Area Traffic Control System) in Jaipur city to improve urban traffic flow and surveillance the traffic movements. Initially ATCS system installed at MI road corridor in Year 2007, further it is installed at JLN road in Year Area traffic control systems are traffic responsive systems that use data from vehicle detectors and optimize traffic signal settings to reduce vehicle delays and stops. Signals can be controlled from central control room. Traffic signal timings are executing according to vehicle demands. Camera Surveillance System is used to observe movements as well as traffic violation The ATCS would have long ranging impact on the traffic flow condition and environmental pollution in the city where it is implemented. There would be direct benefit through: Reduction in vehicle operation cost due to reduction in delays Reduction in traffic congestion along with increase in capacity of roads and intersections resulting in improvement in level of service of the road system Reduction in environmental pollution with reduced emissions at intersections Reduction in noise levels Apart from these direct benefits, there would be indirect benefit in the form of travel-time savings and accident cost savings.

4 Junction HMI

6 JDA has provided 40 cameras on 14 junctions under Area Traffic Control System (ATCS) in phase I & II through CDAC (Centre for development of advance computing) in 2007 & 2008, these junction are :- Phase -I S.No. Location No. of Junction No. Cameras Project Cost (Rs Lacs) Status of work 1 M I Road completed in 2007 Junctions :- Khasa Kothi, amarapura, Subhash Marg, Panch Batti, Ajmer Gate, Yadgar, Ram Niwas Bhagh, Sanganer Gate and Transport Nagar. 7 Phase III In phase III, CDAC has given proposal covering 8 junction on JLN Marg, 6 junction on Sardar Patel Marg, 3 Junction on Govind Marg and 2 Junction on Ashok Marg and upgradation of Central control room at Yadgar, due to requirement given by SP (Traffic) list of junctions has been modified & insert some new junctions, which was not covered in earlier proposal. Revised estimate was received amounting to Rs lacs, The main objective to insert some new junctions was only to cover the entire corridor. In phase III (Part-A) Main corridor of JLN Marg and Up gradation of Centrol control room including OFC network has been taken by JDA, work is completed, as under: Phase -IIIA S.No. Location No. of Junction No. Cameras Project Cost (Rs Lacs) Status of work 1 JLN Marg completed in 2013 Junctions :- Jawahar Circle, SL Crossing, OTS circle, Bajaj Nagar Mode, Gandhi Circle, Rjasthan University, JDA circle, Ganesh Mandir, Trimurti Circle, Back side of SMS Hospital, Suchana Kendra Crossing. Phase III (Part-B) A&F sanction has already been accorded for providing ATCS at Ashok Marg ( 6 Junctions) and Tonk road (17 Junctions) including up-gradation of Central Control Room, amounting to Rs Lacs in this finacial year Junction at Tonk Road :- Ahoka T-Point, Suchna Kendra, SMS Hospital, Prathvi Raj T- Point, Narain Singh Circle, RBI, Ram Bagh, Nagar Nigam Office, Gandhi Nagar Mode, Laxmi Mandir, Kisan Marg (Gatta), Kamal & Co., Gopalpura Overbridge, Khandaka Hospital, Ashram Marg, EP Chouraha (Purana Bypass), Sanganer Crossing. Junctions at Ashok Marg :- Jai club junction, St. Xavier Circle, Ahinsa Circle, Govt. Press, Chomu Circle, Raj Mahal Chouraha. Bid for ATCS at Tonk road and Ashok Marg will be floated shortly.

8 Traffic Lights Traffic lights are essential part for smooth flow of traffic, these traffic signals lights are being operated automatically through microprocessor based controller & Modified X- Strem integrated cameras are being installed, for the sense the strength of the traffic and increase/decrease the time period automatically for start/stop signals. Traffic lights of installed at the following places in this financial year (i.e ) with expenditure of Rs Lacs 1. Ramnagariya Pulia No. 7 Near Bus Stand, Jagatpura 2. Jhalana Trijunction 3. K.V.3 Trijunction 4. Ganga Jamuna Petrol Pump Trijunctions 5. Agarwal farm 6. Vija Path 7. Rajat Path 8. Kiran Path 9. Sawarn Path 10. V.T. road 11. Patel Marg 12. Shipra Path T-Point 13. Vijay Path T-Point These Traffic lights will be activated shortly. For providing & fixing of traffic lights at following Tri-junction/Junctions, bid has been floated through E-tendering & work will be taken up shortly.
