2 The project The wellness and health week Mi Piace! Verso EXPO 2015 is an open annual project that is scheduled to take place in October 2012, to be repeated in 2013 and 2014 in preparation for EXPO 2015 and beyond... The main objective of this event is to raise public awareness through creating direct and long lasting involvement. The subjects of EXPO 2015 nutrition, health prevention, wellness and sustainability are so important that they require immediate attention. Milan is going to be faced with a great big challenge the most important one over the next ten years for Italy and can rely on several operators and experts to start the debate and raise public awareness both in Italy and abroad. A number of projects and events are planned to take place across town from Tuesday 16 th to Sunday 21 st October 2012, involving children, students, families and the elderly throughout the day.

3 Who we are Developed by PROMOEST and promoted by a non-profit organization called LA BUONA COMUNICAZIONE, Mi Piace! Verso EXPO 2015 will include institutional, educational and cultural events and performances, with a view to raising awareness as regards WELLNESS, HEALTH PREVENTION and NUTRITION, in preparation for Expo INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION AGENCY SPECIALIZING IN THE ORGANIZATION OF EVENTS AND CONGRESSES ORGANIZATION FOR THE SOCIAL PROMOTION AND DISSEMINATION OF CULTURE AND COMMUNICATION

awareness as regards WELLNESS, HEALTH PREVENTION and NUTRITION, in preparation for Expo 2015.

4 The subjects Keeping fit is a priority Eating proper food, physical exercise and wellbeing are conducive to a healthy lifestyle. We can all benefit from a healthy diet, regular physical exercise and proper breathing starting from a young age, even in large urban contexts which normally suffer from poor air quality. Feeling good is a priority. It helps people work, socialize and stimulate creative thinking. We can be of help to other people when we feel good, as we tend to manage stress better, particularly in hectic urban contexts. The feel good formula is free: our body already has all it takes to survive. We support sustainability when complying with basic nutrition, breathing and physical activity rules. In so doing, we avoid incurring waste and costs to the community. The programme Mi Piace! Verso EXPO 2015 will consist of several projects based on the subjects of nutrition, physical exercise and "feeling good together".

Feeling good is a priority. It helps people work, socialize and stimulate creative thinking.

5 The events The programme for Mi Piace! Verso EXPO 2015 is still tentative, although some of the events have already been confirmed. From Tuesday to Friday the events will involve schools, public and private venues. Some major events will be hosted in selected venues only on Saturday and Sunday. 1) MI PIACE IN AZIENDA Open day on wellness at work Promoting health at work means fulfilling health and safety requirements as well as actively involving companies to help their employees improve individual and collective wellbeing. From Tuesday 16 th to Friday 19 th October, the companies interested in the project will be able to organize in-house events for their employees, with a view to experiencing a new wellness approach and to regaining energy through physical exercise and breathing techniques, while also exploring the rules of a healthy diet and lifestyle.

6 2) MI PIACE A SCUOLA Open day on physical exercise in schools The project targets any type of school in Milan: primary and secondary schools and colleges. The events are diversified according to age groups. From Tuesday 16 th to Friday 10 th October the schools taking part in the programme will hold an open day, hosting meetings with health experts, to allow students and teachers to gain a deeper understanding of their body, while experiencing in a fun-like manner the benefits connected with healthy eating, physical exercise and wellness. 3) MI PIACE MUOVERMI Open day in fitness centres and associations The associations, schools and fitness centres participating in the project will be open to the public as of Tuesday 16 th October. Free demonstrations will be held at certain times of the day by teachers, trainers and experts, allowing adults of all ages to try out different disciplines and get useful advice to help them find the body practice that suits them best.

7 4) MI PIACE ASCOLTAR-MI Open day in counselling schools From Tuesday 16 th to Friday 19 th October all Milan-based counselling schools and private practices taking part in the project will be open to the general public to explain what counselling is all about and help people find the solution that suits them best. 5) MI PIACE CONFRONTAR-MI Tuesday 16 th October conference on new wellness outlooks On Tuesday 16 th October, Palazzo dei Giureconsulti will be hosting a conference on the subject of wellness and health prevention in our society. Doctors, psychologists, pedagogues, representatives from various institutions, teachers of body disciplines and PE teachers will meet to exchange views on the subject.

5) MI PIACE CONFRONTAR-MI Tuesday 16 th October conference on new wellness outlooks On Tuesday 16 th October, Palazzo dei Giureconsulti will be hosting a conference on the

8 6) MI PIACE INSIEME Saturday 20 th October wellness and entertainment day A day entirely dedicated to wellness and entertainment will focus on practical and health related activities, in partnership with sporting and showbiz personalities. 7) MI PIACE SOSTENIBILE From Friday 19 th to Sunday 21 st October Palazzina Liberty in Largo Marinai d Italia in Milan will host Change up! Scelgo io, now in its third year, on the subject of ethical and sustainable beauty, health and wellness
