1 WELCOME TO CROATIA ROCKS for IMPORTANT INFORMATION WEATHER The average temperature during Croatia Rocks is around C so please ensure you drink plenty of fluids, apply plenty of sunscreen, bring some sunglasses and perhaps even a hat to protect you from the sun. Evenings can get a bit cooler, and there s always the possibility of rain so bring some other suitable clothes should the weather not be quite as we hoped. MONEY You will only need Croatian Kuna for the festival and this is accepted in all shops, bars, restaurants and the festival venues. There are cash machines and bureau de change offices in Novalja. MEDICAL SERVICES In case of an emergency, please call 112. We recommend taking out travel insurance in advance of your trip. Please note if you do require medical attention, all expenses must be paid immediately (which you will claim back from your insurance company). PERSONAL BELONGINGS We d recommend not bringing your ipad / laptop or anything too valuable with you, and keep things locked away at all times just to be safe. TIME ZONE This is one hour ahead of the time in the UK. COMMUNICATING The official language is Croatian, but most people speak decent English. SAFETY Croatia is a safe, friendly and sundrenched country but please still keep an eye on your belongings at all times and if possible see if your accommodation offers a safe or lockers.
2 AIRPORT TRANSFERS For all emergency contacts please use the following: address: for IMPORTANT INFORMATION Please bring the e-ticket(s) you will have received via . You will have one e-ticket for each journey, so please remember to print both if you re travelling with us both ways. If you ve not received this then please and they will be able to resend this for you. The transfer duration depends on ferry schedules and stopovers. For some journeys there is the possibility of combining transfers (Venice Treviso Venice Marco Polo Trieste Novalja) depending on the capacity of the buses. In case of any delay Croatia Rocks will not be held responsible for missed flights, trains, buses or any other means of transport. If you miss your transfer because you are late you will be required to pay the full price for the next available transfer. The safety of our travellers is of the upmost importance to us therefore passengers are not permitted to travel under the influence of alcohol and alcohol is not to be consumed on the transfers. It is not possible to make amendments to airport transfers after Monday 13th July TO THE FESTIVAL After your flight arrives, you have picked up your bags, shown your passport and zipped through customs, there will be someone waiting at the arrivals terminal with a Croatia Rocks sign who will direct you to the transfer bus. All transfers will head directly to Novalja bus station. This will be the main pick up and drop off point for the festival Once you have arrived, you would need to head to Zrce Travel which is just across the road. At Zrce Travel will be: - Festival Wristband Exchange (Sat 18th July 1pm 11pm & Sunday 19th July 1pm 9pm) - Croatia Rocks Accommodation Check In Point - Festival Shuttle Wristband Point FROM THE FESTIVAL All airport transfers depart from Novalja bus station promptly at the specified times. Aim to arrive at Novalja bus station at least 30 minutes before your transfer is scheduled to depart. Please allow sufficient time to travel from your accommodation to the bus station. There are further details regarding the check out process in the accommodation section but please allow time for your deposit to be returned to you in case of any issues.
3 ACCOMMODATION APARTMENTS / HOTELS / ROOMS For all emergency contacts please use the following (from 17th July) : for CHECK IN We will strive to make check in for your accommodation as easy as possible, so there is one central check in point where everyone who has purchased through will need to go. Here, you will be checked in and transported to your accommodation wherever you may be staying on the island. All check ins for accommodation will take place at Zrce Travel, just across the road from Novalja bus station which is the location for public transport, taxis and also where all airport transfers will drop off and pick up. Check in time is from 1:00pm - 11:00pm, Mon 13th july - Mon 20th July. Please note there will be no check in after 11:00pm unless previously arranged. If you are arriving outside of these check in times please latecheckin@croatiarocks.com Check out is 9:00am. If you ve booked privately or through any other method We d recommend confirming the exact check in method with the apartment owner before arriving in Croatia. Ensure you have the following information: 1. Contact details for the owner / agency 2. A pre-arranged check in time and location 3. Full address of your accommodation with map printout of location 4. Print out of your booking confirmation with any receipt for payment 5. A method to reach your accommodation. The festival shuttle can get you across Novalja from Saturday 18 th July. CAMPING Check in for the campsite is at the campsite reception from 7:00am until 10:00pm. If you arrive in to Novalja, then please head to the accommodation check in point by Novalja bus station and they will direct you to the campsite. Please note there will be no check in between 10:00pm and 07:00am unless previously arranged. If you are arriving outside of these check in times please latecheckin@croatiarocks.com If you re driving / making your own way there, the campsite is Camp Strasko which is located about 5 minutes drive from Novalja bus station: Camp Strasko, Zeleni put, 53291, Novalja, Croatia. GENERAL CAMPSITE INFORMATION Reception open from 7:00am 10:00pm Lockers available for personal belongings Phone charging points available Showers and toilets on site Beautiful beachside location Shops, bars and restaurants on site Short walk to Novalja centre 24 hour shuttle service to festival site Check out is by midday on the day of your departure. It is not possible to make amendments to accommodation after Monday 13th July 2015
4 ACCOMMODATION RULES We want everyone to have fun at Croatia Rocks, but when you stay at accommodation booked through our platform, there are some general rules we have to enforce to ensure things run smoothly for All of the accommodation options at Croatia Rocks have some common House Rules, which are detailed below. We do ask that you respect these rules, as failure to do so may result in your accommodation being cancelled. Should this happen, you would not be entitled to any partial refunds or any contribution towards further accommodation purchased. Check in for apartments will only be from 1:00pm 11:00pm on the date of your booking. If you are arriving on a different day/out of the check in times you will need to let us know by ing latecheckin@croatiarocks.com. Check out will be 09:00 on the date of your departure. Only guests who have been properly registered and accept the House Rules can stay in the accommodation. All guests are responsible for their own behaviour and are liable for any damages caused in their property. Neither Croatia Rocks nor the accommodation owner can be held responsible for any lost or stolen belongings or valuables while staying in any property. HOUSE RULES Only guests who have been properly registered and accept the House Rules can stay in the accommodation. It is not permitted to bring any animals or pets in to the accommodation. It is forbidden to damage apartment property, cause noise or disturb other guests. It is forbidden to make noise from 10:00pm 8:00am each day. We do ask that you leave the apartment in the same condition as when you checked in. Please do not take towels, blankets or any other items to the beach. Please look after the accommodation, as you will be responsible for any damage caused. Smoking is only allowed in communal areas, so please no smoking in any bedrooms. Look out for details of fire regulations. When you leave your accommodation each day, please ensure doors and windows are locked and that all appliances (air conditioning etc.) and utilities (water, lights and gas) are turned off. When checking out, all accommodation will be checked by the owner / Croatia Rocks staff. Please remember to return all accommodation keys when checking out. Please dispose of your rubbish daily. You will be required to give a security deposit from per person when you check in to cover any possible damage to the accommodation. This will be returned in full at check out providing there are no missing items or damage caused. The House Rules are an integral part of terms and conditions what guests are requested to read and sign as an indication of their acceptance. If you have any questions, remarks or complaints while during your stay, please contact the owner / accommodation team at the check in point or emergency number. CAMPSITE RULES Management of campsite Straško kindly asks their esteemed guests to abide by the camp ordinance: Only guests checked in at the reception can stay in the camp while minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Choice of space in the camp is free, except for the numbered parts, though the space should be used rationally, taking into account the needs of your neighbors. It is strictly forbidden to spike nails into trees or to damage them in any way, carrying pebbles off of the beach, fencing the spot you are in or any type of construction work in your spot. Standardized fence made of reed up to one meter of height are permitted only with the written approval by the camp site Management. Owners of mobile homes can build wooden canopies only with the consent and approval of the camp site Management (it is necessary to send a draft with the specified dimensions and color - only white or wood color, to the camp site Management for approval).not following these rules will prevent you from continuing your stay in the camp. Check-in is from 7:00am for guests on the camping spots, from 12:00pm for guests on the pitches and from 5:00pm for guests in mobile homes. Check-out is by midday on the day of your departure.
5 for Camp guest are kindly asked to always carry the registration document, which they have received by the check-in, with them and present it upon camp staff request. Motor vehicles may enter the camp between 7:00am and 11:00pm with the use of the ramp card. The ramp card may only be used by the guest who received it upon registration to the camp. The card should not be exposed to heat. Any damage to or loss of the card shall be charged. Motor vehicles may not be parked outside the accommodation units. Setting up of the tent and awning is only permitted from 10:00 until 22:00. The number of the camping spot that you received at the reception desk when checking in should be displayed clearly. Guests who stay in the naturist (FKK) part of the camp should follow the standards of the naturist code walking about the naturist part of the camp dressed is not allowed, apart from in some exceptional cases. Starting a fire in the open is forbidden by law, due to the danger of the fire spreading. Please be considerate to others and do not make excessive noise that could bother other guests, including the use of radios, television sets and musical instruments; complete peace and quiet period in the camp is required from 11:00pm until 7:00am. A quiet afternoon period is in effect from 1:00pm until 3:00pm each day. Not following these rules will prevent you from continuing your stay in the camp. Maximum speed limit for the vehicles through the Camp is 20 km/h. Pedestrians in the camp have the right of way in respect to the vehicles. Guests should take care of the tidiness of the space they are using. Please collect your trash in plastic bags and place these in the waste containers. Please leave the sanitary blocks you use as you would wish to find them, as a courtesy to your fellow holidaymakers. The inventory of the mobile home will be checked on the day of your departure. You will be held financially responsible for any established damage or loss. Dog owners should report their pets at the reception desk and show their vaccination card. Dog owners should walk their dogs on a leash (and with dog muzzle) and they should keep them tied in their space. When the pets relieve themselves, the owners pick up the waste and carefully dispose of it, otherwise they will be charged for the cleaning. Not abiding by this rule poses a threat to the health, safety and enjoyment of others on the camp and will lead to a fine according to the valid pricelist. It is not allowed walking dogs without leashes, taking them into the reception, sanitary block, stores and the area of the beach, which is not scheduled for the same. If you find any items that may have been left on the camp by accident, please bring them immediately to the reception desk. Visits are permitted only if appropriately reported at the entrance reception desk. For a shorter stay in the camp, the visitors should leave a valid personal document at the entrance, which will be returned upon their exit from the camp. In the case of staying in the camp for longer than 2 hours, the stay will be charged at the entrance. For connecting to or disconnecting from the electricity supply lines, please refer to the camp reception desk. The control of the wiring is done by the responsible camp employee. Faulty wiring will be disconnected from the electricity supply network of the camp. You can deposit jewelry, money and other valuables at the reception desk. This is strongly recommended, as the camp cannot be held responsible for any items that have been lost or stolen. Management will not be held liable for theft, accidents or damage to property or persons, nor will be held liable for damage caused by thunderstorms, hail, falling trees, illness, including that of plants, epidemics, fire, natural disasters, etc. Calculation and payment of services used may be done at the date of departure or any other day till 8:30pm. However, we recommend you do it on the day prior to your departure in order to avoid unnecessary waiting. It is not allowed washing dishes or clothes in areas not foreseen for such purposes. Staying, gathering or spending the night on the beach after 23:00 o clock is not allowed. It is not allowed to wash cars or other vehicles on camp grounds. The book of complaints is at the reception desk of the camp. Services and stay can be denied to guests who do not follow this camp ordinance as well as to the guests who by their behavior disturb the quiet and bother other guests.
