Fittings with heat shields attached have clearance labelling and installation parameter leaflets supplied in each box. Heat shields are available for retro-fit on existing fittings in our range (70 mm, 78 mm, 85 mm and 90 mm options). Fire Rated Downlight In compliance with the relevant building regulations our Fire Rated downlight range has been tested and passed to 90 minute ceiling-floor system. They feature intumescent material at the top of the fitting and around the rim of the housing which swell and seal the fitting in case of fire. The fittings closed construction offers better acoustic insulation, eliminates moisture transfer and draught. Gentech Lighting 3

6 REFERENCE INFORMATION About LED Innovation in lighting fixtures and fittings has progressed in the area of the LED light source. LED fittings and lamps are available for linear lighting, downlighting, spotlighting, display and cabinet lighting. Its compact size offers long life, in perfect conditions, energy efficiency and no UV or IR radiation. LED is an application specific light source which provides pin-point light. LED s are sensitive to power variation, heat and humidity which affect lamp life and colour. A large percentage of our LED range comes with quick connectors and leads, which are compatible with our drivers. In providing the fittings with this option it ensures correct installation so as not to damage your LED. We suggest that quick connectors be used where possible (refer to working example and pictures right). Quick connection by plug and socket Features and Benefits of LED Lighting 1.
