3 MLM / MLMC SERIES Multiple Lumen Output Select the preferred Luminaire with TCI-Driver from the MLM range or create your own, specific Luminaire-Driver combination with the MLMC product line. Illuxtron offers a wide selection of TCI Drivers, supplied with Plug & Play cable for connecting to any Illuxtron MLMC Luminaire. The TCI Drivers have multiple output current capabilities through DIP-switch settings. The standard product will be supplied with the highest output current but you may also specify the desired lumen/current output setting when ordering your MLM/C products. Centrally Located Power Supply In new buildings, for example, with flexible office spaces, there is an increased demand for flexibility in the electrical supply system. In this relation, Power over Ethernet (PoE) is an upcoming technology. Illuxtron Low Voltage Luminaires can be powered over ethernet by using the LV Plug to RJ45 (CAT/UTP) converter cable. Logistical Efficiency The specific advantage of the MLMC concept - Luminaires and Drivers separated - is an increased efficiency in logistics. You may stock a number of MLMC downlights and LedPanels with a separated stock of TCI-Drivers. This provides great flexibility in creating the required Lumen Output settings of the Luminaires for your last minute project orders. 5 TCI POWER SUPPLIES Compliant with Health Norms TCI RIPPLE FREE LED Drivers (<3%) ensure the lowest level of light flickering. In low and higher output levels, the flickering is reduced to a level, imperceptible for the human eye. However, surveys have proven a relation between flickering and health problems. Therefore, the application of lighting systems with a lower flicker index is an important factor in both commercial and residential areas. Video/Photo Proof Lighting with a low flickering index is essential in areas where photo and video cameras are used. Flickering light sources have a negative effect on the quality of photos and video footage. Surge Protection The TCI drivers are protected against surges up to 4kV. This is well above the norm of 1kV. Many LED bulbs are protected up to 500V. The surge protection level of the TCI drivers results in an extremely low defect rate of around 0,1%. Higher Light Output A LED Driver with a lower ripple factor is 5% more efficient in terms of Light Output. Longer Lifetime In addition to negative effects for human health, HIGH RIPPLE current will harm the LED, the LED driver and the efficiency of the system in general. Free TCI LED drivers are provided with a sophisticated multistage circuit to supply the LEDs with a perfect current (a line).
