3 Dear Readers The advantages of LED technology are familiar to all of us, and the lighting market is virtually flooded with new products. Steadily improving energy- and cost-efficiency results in shorter payback periods and LED is being used in a wide range of lighting projects. The decision to employ LED products is, however, only the first step towards a sustainable lighting solution. Too little consideration is often given to the factors that play a critical role in the quality of an LED lamp. In the final analysis we must redeem the promise of LED and provide the customer with sophisticated and reliable products with a long service life and superior lighting quality. For this reason RIBAG has invested more than ever before in product innovation.
