Admissible range Operating voltage [DC V] 1762D02en Setting element The duct temperature sens consists of housing, printed circuit board, connection terminals and probe The 2-sectional housing is comprised of base and removable cover (snap-on design) The measuring circuit and the setting element are located on the printed circuit board inside the cover, the connection terminals on the base Cable entry is made via the M16 cable entry gland (IP 54) supplied with the sens which can be screwed into the housing Probe and housing are rigidly connected The sens is designed f screwed flanged mounting It can be fitted as follows: With the mounting flange supplied with the sens (recommended), which is to be fitted to the sens and then secured in accdance with the required immersion length, Without mounting flange (making use of the maximum immersion length) F that propose, the housing has 4 holes f fitting the sens directly to the air duct Range Measuring range Test function active U1 I1 10 V 5 V 0 V 20 ma 12 ma 4 ma 5 V 12 ma 1762Z01 2/6 Siemens Duct temperature senss QAM , QAM CE1N1762en

3 Fault Engineering notes Cable routing and cable selection The setting element is located inside the cover It consists of 6 pins and a shting plug It is used to select the required measuring range and to activate the test function The different plug positions have the following meaning F the temperature measuring range: Shting plug in the left position (R1) = 050 C Shting plug in the mid position (R2) = C (facty setting) Shting plug in the right position (R3) = C F activating the test function: Shting plug in the hizontal position: The values accding to the table "Test function active" will be made available at the signal output In the event of fault, the output signal will reach 0 V (4 ma) after 60 seconds To power the sens, a transfmer f safety extra low-voltage (SELV) with separate windings f 100 % duty is required When sizing and electrically protecting the transfmer, local safety regulations must be observed When sizing the transfmer, the power consumption of the temperature sens must be taken into consideration F crect wiring, refer to the Data Sheets of the devices with which the sens is used The permissible cable lengths must be observed When laying the cables, it must be observed that the longer the cables run side by side and the smaller the distance between them, the greater the electrical interference Twisted pair cables are required f the secondary supply lines and the signal lines Mounting notes Mounting location F supply air temperature control: Downstream from the fan, if the fan is located after the last air handling unit Otherwise, after the last air handling unit with a minimum distance of 05 m F extract air temperature control: Always upstream of the extract air fan As a limit sens f the supply air temperature: As close as possible to the air outlet into the room F dew point control: Immediately after the spray trap of the air washer Manually bend the probe so that it lies diagonally across the duct in equally spaced windings across the entire duct cross-section The probe must not touch the duct wall Mounting Instructions are printed on the packaging Mounting positions Permitted: Not permitted: 1761Z03 Mounting examples min 200 mm max 70 mm Z Z07 Siemens Duct temperature senss QAM , QAM CE1N1762en 3/6
