7 ACE Training Airbus Cockpit Experience After ACE ground training a pilot shall have good general knowledge of systems and procedures Based on differences in systems and procedures between A330 and A350 Practical, hands-on experience in a real cockpit context will allow trainee to best acquire a new system knowledge and procedures. Learning objective is to acquire system knowledge and operational procedures. 3D virtual and interactive cockpit

8 FTD Training Learning objective is to reinforce system knowledge and operational procedures. Based on differences in systems and procedures. No need for FFS due to similarity between handling characteristics between A330 and A350. After FTD training a pilot shall have a required knowledge and skills to operate A350.

10 FFS Training Very positive feedback from pilots! FFS training is a mandatory part of FINNAIR A350 differences training. After FFS training: Pilot shall feel confident and competent to operate A350 Simulator training consists of A350 differences implemented in LOFT environment in a short sector TLS-BOD including RNAV(GNSS) approaches using FLS function and handling training. This session is used for evaluation purpose. Trainee s readiness to proceed to FAM flights is evaluated by instructor.

11 Familiarization Flights After completion of differences training the pilot with a single license endorsement A330/350 may begin FAM flights. FINNAIR A350 FAM consists of minimum 4 sectors with TRI including 2 sectors as PF. During FAM flights pilot's progress shall be followed and evaluated by TRI. If pilot s operational competency does not meet Finnair standards after the last sector then additional sectors shall be assigned. After FAM flights a pilot shall be able to perform a safe and effective flight according to Finnair standards. To fully integrate Finnair A350 SOP to operation and acquire knowledge and skills to use operator specific applications. LEARNING OBJECTIVE

12 Information management via OIS Practical training in the use of AOC functions are covered during operator customised training. Learning objective is to acquire knowledge and skills to use airline specific applications via OIS. After FAM A pilot shall be able to use airline specific applications via OIS and manage information efficiently.

13 Consolidation period Consolidation period provides the opportunity for a pilot to operate only one variant and build up operating experience in A350. Consolidation period are essentially planned by familiarization considerations to new manmachine interfaces with aircraft systems. After 8 route sectors in A350 a pilot may commence SFF operations. After consolidation period a pilot shall be able to operate A350 competently with comprehensive knowledge. To reinforce the knowledge and skills required to operate a new man-machine interface effectively and efficiently. LEARNING OBJECTIVE

14 OH-LTP AIRBUS A AIRBUS A OH-LWA SFF Operations Operation on more than one variant is allowed, provided differences training is completed and procedures and operational provisions regarding to a single license endorsement are complied with. After completion of the CTR differences training on the new aircraft FAM flights and consolidation period is required prior to commencement of SFF-operation A330 + A350 SFF applies to the operation of A330 and A350 with a single license endorsement. A pilot shall perform one takeoff and landing in each variant A330 and A350 within 45 days. For operations of A330 and A350 variants in a Single Fleet Flying concept, it is highly recommended that pilots are scheduled to fly both variants on a regular basis. 15 Recurrent Training and Checking Pilot shall perform every 6 month interval operator proficiency check alternating on A330 and A350. OPC performed on A330 or on A350 series aircraft are valid for both variants. Pilot shall perform recurrent training on both variants within 12 month period.
