3 IFR flights + 1,8% Traffic evolution IFR flights Stability and progress Performance All in all 96.8% of the flights we handled suffered zero delays. The delays to en-route traffic attributable to skyguide averaged just 4.2 seconds per flight. Our technical systems are highly reliable, too; and we have improved our efficiency some 10% on the Five-Year Plan over the past three years. An investment for the customers We constantly train young women and men to become highly skilled air traffic controllers (and bear all the costs of such training ourselves). Every year we invest over CHF 50 million in finding and adopting even more efficient and even more reliable technical solutions. Permanent aerial policing established Our partnership with the Swiss Air Force is a core element within our overall mandate. This collaboration continues to strengthen as is manifested, for example, in our taking the first step at the beginning of 2016 to ensure the permanent policing of Swiss airspace. A recent audit by the Swiss Federal Audit Office confirmed that our close collaboration also works excellently at the administrative level. 3

4 IFR landings/departures + 0,3% Traffic evolution IFR landings/departures A solution for regional airports A landmark memorandum of understanding was signed with the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and the Swiss Aerodromes Association at the end of 2015 which outlines how air traffic services should be provided at Switzerland s regional airports between now and Our aim in all these endeavours is to provide viable solutions for the users of these facilities, which each play a vital role in the regions they serve. At the forefront of innovations Innovative technical solutions give the aviation sector greater safety, lower costs and better environmental credentials. Skyguide s biggest technological project is still the development of the Virtual Centre. It will enable us to manage and monitor all Swiss airspace flexibly from either Dübendorf or Geneva. Motivated personnel Skyguide is some women and men from 35 different countries working round-the-clock at 14 locations throughout Switzerland. They are all driven by an enthusiasm for aviation and a desire to provide the best possible serve. 4

A distinction must be made here between a movement and a flight. Generally speaking, one flight will generate multiple flight movements which are registered at the various control centres along its route. 10 High punctuality of 96.8% Skyguide achieved very high punctuality levels in 2015, with 96.8% of all flights handled without delays. The result is only 0.1 percentage points below the all-time record of 2011 but with higher traffic volumes. The delays that did occur were attributable primarily to short-term capacity shortages (43%), adverse weather conditions (36%), introduction of the Stripless system Step 3 (10%), unforeseeable temporary personnel shortages (8%) and system maintenance work (3%).
