2 Dear Property Owner, EDISON Office of the Mayor Thomas Lankey, Mayor Edison Municipal Complex 00 Municipal Blvd. Edison, New Jersey Main Phone: (73) Main Fax: (73) I am proud to present Edison Township s 06 Calendar containing noteworthy dates, useful information and essential phone numbers. My Administration is working hard to fulfill its commitment to reduce Edison s disposal fees, protect our environment, and save tax dollars through recycling. The more recyclables that Edison collects the more money we can save. I am pleased to report that residents are making good use of our convenience recycling drop-off sites. Our South Edison recycling center is at 47 Meadow Road and our North Edison drop-off site is at the Minnie Veal Community Center on Grove Avenue. For a third consecutive year, Edison will host its popular leaf bag giveaway program for homeowners this fall. Using funds from our state recycling grant is an economical way to buy and distribute biodegradable leaf bags to our residents. I encourage you to regularly visit for information about the many high-quality services that Edison provides to you and your family. You can also stay up-to-date about community events by watching our award-winning public access TV Channel 5. I also urge you to please sign-up online for our improved NIXLE service. This invaluable notification system will alert you and your family to local emergencies, road closures, traffic problems and inclement weather conditions. To help you navigate Edison Township s menu of services, please contact our Constituent Relations Administrator Anthony Russomano at (73) To assist with recycling, sanitation or street maintenance, contact our Public Works Department at (73) or publicworks@edisonnj.org.
