Additional Feature In the 2008Barbie Fashion Show, the working team has added two more fashion show themes which are Male Show: First Date and Male Show: Rock Band. Such additional features have created more effects in many parts of the game such as: v Five more male models are added on the model board in the same style as the female models. That is all five of them have same body shape but only different because of their skin color, eyebrow color and hair style. v When the male fashion show festival comes (Male Show: First Date and Male Show: Rock Band(, the game will increase its collection of clothes and design formats on the design table to include specific garments for men. Such clothes are unfit for female models and the male models cannot wear the female models clothes as well. When the game unlocks the male apparels, the game has also added the male dresses which have the appearance of long Godfatherthe-movie-style coats. v When the male fashion show festival comes (Male Show: First Date and Male Show: Rock Band(, the game will add the hair style and male shoes in the model customization page but less number than female s elements. The male hairstyles and shoes cannot be used with the female models and those of the females cannot be used with the males as well. v Every time that the player is trying to put on the female apparels on the male models, the player will be warned by Teresa every time that such action is prohibited. In other words, Teresa will say that such apparels, hair-style and shoes cannot be used. v The models postures on the Fashion Show Runway will be changed to those of the male models when the Male Show: First Date and Male Show: Rock Band has come. Optional: Another option in the game play in the male model mode is the Cyber Planet team will block the unconcerned elements that belong to the female models so that they are not shown in the male model mode. When there is a male model fashion festival, the game will show only the options or elements that belong to men as below: v On the design table, there is no female apparels )Tops, Bottom, and Dresses( but the color, fabric and accessories are still the same. v On the model board, there will be no female models pictures and in the part of model customization, there is no hairstyles and shoes for women. The game will show only those for men. v On the fashion show runway, the game will not show the female postures but will only show the male postures. 34

Couple Fashion Show As Rachel idea, we discovered that couple fashion show may raise amazing fun of playing game. In the game, there are all 10 events to prepare dresses for each fashion show as: v School Spirit (3 outfits) v Male Show: First Date (3 outfits) v To the Beach/Swimwear (3 outfits) v Retro Funky (4 outfits) v Asian Inspired (4 outfits) v Male Show: Rock Band (4 outfits) v Prom (5 outfits) v Pop Star (5 outfits) v Wedding/Bridal (5 outfits) v Future Fashion Finale (5 outfits) Now CP team decided to adjust Prom theme and Wedding/Bridal to couple fashion show. Both 2 fashion shows will make the player to double design- original version the player need to design 5 outfits for Prom and 5 outfits for Wedding/Bridal. But now, the Prom needs 10 outfits for 5 female dresses and 5 male dresses and the same way with Wedding theme. And now we changes Wedding/Bridal to Wedding/Bridegroom and Bridal. Thus, once the player reaches Prom event or Wedding events there is a little gameplay adjustment which the player has to design both female outfits and male outfits but not the same time. First the player has to design dresses for female first- general gameplay. Next, once the player has finished female outfits designing, Teresa will suggest the player to build up remaining male outfits in the same number of female. Then, the player has to enter design table again to design the rest of male dresses. Not only designing section is changed but also model board too. As the old version Barbie PC GDD 1.00, the player has to define only female model match with the dresses. But now in the latest version of Barbie Fashion Show, the player strongly needs to define male model too. Once the player has finished match female and dresses together, Teresa will appear to instruct the player to match male outfits with the male model in the same way like designing section. Finally, the player is permitted to enter Fashion Runway menu as well. ** the couple feature will also affect to model fitting. The Runway Of course, the game will combine Male show and Female Show together, the player customizes the Runway as usual but there are 10 models walking on the runway. The male model and female model separately walk but finally, in the end of fashion show, male models and female models will be paired with no walking- stand together in a half body camera view (see below pictures) sure this time the player can capture 35

their picture as need. Lastly, the pictures display two of them together in their matching outfits. Couple poses example#1 Couple poses example#2 Couple poses example#3 36

Scene Play Storyboard Since the NDS is a portable terminal (Handheld terminal), the CyberPlanet team consider that there should be no FMV containing in the game since too many memory will be used and it will be difficult to manage the memory units. Therefore, we have decided that the game is to be presented mainly in the form of scene plays (whereas the story is still the same as on the PC Platform). For this reason, The below picture and the storyboard shown below are the sample of the narration in the scene play style (still pictures with the narration) NOTE: CyberPlanet team has considered the FMV to be used on the NDS and found that using the FMV on the NDS will case the RAM problem and also affect the size of ROM. The CyberPlanet team then uses the Scene Play narration as a good solution. We would like the Activision team to give us your idea whether we should input the FMV on this Barbie Fashion Show game, NDS version 39

Opening Scene Play In the Fashion Designer Award Barbie the girl was awarded She s the best young designer In her studio The phone rang She s got a lot of fashion work Suddenly! Teresa came in Barbie recruited Teresa for helping her They worked perfect dress 40
