2 Introduction: WeVideo is a free online application used for creating, editing, and sharing attractive videos. Creating a Free Account: Visit Click on Sign up button Click on Get started Fill out the requested information and click Sign up Open your to verify your WeVideo account (Note: You will not be able to publish your video if you do not verify your account.) Main Interface: 2

3 1. Top Navigation Menu: Home: This option displays the home page Projects: This option displays all of the videos created by you. From here, you can edit, delete, or publish your desired video. Media: This option displays all of the media files that you have uploaded to your account. Upload: This option allows you to upload files from your desktop to your WeVideo account. Exports: This option displays all your published videos. Note: The free version does not support downloading your videos. 2. Quick Links: This menu includes most commonly used options for easy access. 3. Help and Support: This section includes video tutorials on how to use WeVideo. 4. Account Summary: This section displays the used and remaining amount of video storage and video export time. Creating a Video: Click on Create New Video option from Quick Links menu Select the reason for using WeVideo if prompted (i.e. education, personal, business) Click on Start Editing Video Editing Interface: 1. Menu Options: Storyboard: The tab for editing your video Upload: The tab for uploading images, videos, and audios from your computer Themes: The option for selecting a theme for your video 3

4 Publish: The option for publishing your video online Media: The option for viewing, uploading, and adding your own media to your video Graphics: The option for adding WeVideo s graphics to your video. You may add animated graphics or solid colors to your video. Audio: The option for inserting free music and other audio files to your video. Text: The option for adding predesigned text frames to your video including arrows, shapes, and other types of annotations. 2. Video Title: Click here to change the title of your video and click save when finished 3. Upload and Record buttons: The Upload button will allow you to upload media and the Record button enables you record your own video if you have a camera attached to your computer 4. Preview: This section enables you to preview your video. Click on play button to play your video 5. Timeline: The timeline section displays all the content of your video (i.e. images, audio, video). Each item is called a frame and you may edit or delete a frame by hovering over it and selecting the corresponding option. 6. Audio or Voice Recording: Song: Drag and drop your desired audio file in this area to include it on your video Voiceover: Click on the record link to start recording your voice. Note: You must have a microphone connected to your computer to use this feature. Adding Items to Timeline: To add any item to your timeline, simply drag and drop it to the timeline area. Alternatively, hover over the desired item and click on Add option Editing Frames: Hover over a frame to display the frame options (edit, effect, delete) 4

5 Edit: This option allows you to add captions to your frame. It is also used for adding transformation and animation to your frame. Effects: This option enables you to add special effects to your frame (i.e. blurring, changing the color to black and white etc.) Delete: This option allows you to delete the frame You can also change the duration of a frame by clicking the corner of the frame and dragging it to the right or left. Recording Audio: Plugin a microphone to your computer Click on Voiceover Record Click on Allow Close if the following dialog box shows up Click on Record to start recording your voice Click on Stop Recording when finished Click on Save 5

6 Your recording will appear on the dashboard shortly Drag and drop your recording to the timeline or click on Add option Adjust the recording volume by click on the speaker icon located next to the Song area Delete the recording by clicking on the trash icon located next to the Song area You may adjust the audio position and duration length by following these steps: o Click on Storyboard drop down menu o Select Timeline (simple) o Adjust the timing by dragging and moving it to the desired timeslot o Adjust the duration by clicking and dragging the corners of the audio to the right or left 6

7 Sharing Videos: Click on Exports from the top navigation menu Click on the video that you would like to share Copy the video URL from the Address Bar the link to the person that you would like to share your video with 7
