This platform accepts an ontology (OWL) as input and generates wizard-driven tools for creating individuals instances of instructional design. The platform and toolset are generic enough and can be customized for other domains as well Design of tools that can facilitate non-technical users (teachers) to create and maintain elearning Systems. Currently working on semi-automatically generating elearning Systems based on ontology instances Design of 5 prototype instructional designs and 25 elearning Systems for adult literacy case study in India This research has produced results (research, tools, elearning Systems) for the domains of adult literacy, school education and so on, which are of prime importance to society, with adult literacy in India as a direct case I strongly believe that the proposed approach will facilitate transformation of education systems from fact-oriented to reasoning-oriented Key Thesis (MS by Research) Research: A software product line approach (TALES) to design of elearning Systems Engineering: Designed ALP Factory, a tool suite that is built on top of Flash enabling semiautomatic generation of elearning Systems for adult literacy. This tool suite has helped in reduction of development effort from 5 to 6 person years to 5 to 6 person months Society: ALP Factory has facilitated the development of elearning Systems for adult literacy in India and resulted in a new experiment of teaching Urdu Language using Telugu Language as medium of instruction. I visited a field for one month in Nalgonda, Telangana, India (100 women learners) and received great feedback from learners
