2 Mission of TUFS Tokyo University of Foreign Studies The mission of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies shall be to conduct research and instruction, both theoretical and practical, on the world's languages and the cultures rooted in them, to provide the cultural refinement necessary to engage in international activities, and to deepen the understanding of regions around the world through the study of their languages. 2

11 Peace and Conflict Studies (PCS) International and interdisciplinary research and study program conducted completely in English since Master s Program 68 graduates from over 40 countries Working for international institutions, NGOs and educational institutions Doctoral Program Students studying under the PCS doctoral program come from; Colombia, Guatemala, Norway, Japan, Sudan, Ireland, Mozambique, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Macedonia, China, Morocco and Canada (As of July 2013) PCS Global Campus Program The Program conducts the online lecture among member universities from 8 countries (including Indonesia) as the joint endeavor. The online lecture contains Advanced Course and Basic Course underpinned by the curriculum review and development faculty meeting. 11
