2 Gr 8 Drama - Silent Films This term s Grade 8 group continued the high standard set by those before them. Their silent films were creative, funny and entertaining. Well done to all!

4 Grade 10 Dramatic Arts Who am I? Film Project The Grade 10 Drama students looked at the philosophical concept of who we are in relation to the world around us. This task does not necessarily seek answers but is rather an exploration of self and humankind. There were some brilliant and witty clips that encompassed aspects such as poetry, music, visual imagery, live performance, film clips, photos and quotations combined with some very creative editing.
5 Art News Matric Visual Arts student, Nina Buys, gets to grips with our printing press as she prints her etchings for her final Visual Art portfolio. Condolences The Bridge House family extends sincere condolences to Pia Watermeyer and the family and friends of James Watermeyer who attended Bridge House from 1999 to 2010 and who died in a car accident last weekend. The Bridge House flag was flown at half mast this week. Prep School teacher, Greg Hinds mother passed away this week. There will be no newsletter next week. Sports Update BALLET Lelia van Niekerk participated in the Paarl Valley ballet Eisteddford last week. She and a friend got a silver for their duet in the 16 year-old age group. In the group performance in the 17 year-old age group, they achieved a gold and won the trophy for the best performance for the section. Congratulations, Lelia! WATER POLO Congratulations to Mr Rheinardt van Schoor on his selection as the Manager of the Boland U13 & U14 Boys Water Polo teams to participate in the National Championships in Durban during the June holidays. EQUESTRIAN Erin Pape competed in the Western Cape Pony Rider Championships in Noordhoek this past weekend. Her team managed to go clear every round and went on to win the Open 1.10m Championship class and be crowned 2016 champions. Erin has also been selected to represent Western Cape at the South African Championships in Kyalami in July. Well done, Erin.
