Journey Management Group is a specialist Registered Training Organisation which provides Training, Assessment, Licensing and Accreditation services in a wide range of programs. We have a network of Industry Skills Centre's in multiple locations and offer a range of qualifications and licences under WorkSafe, VicRoads and the National certificate qualifications. 4 TLI21210 Certificate II in Driving Operations This qualification is designed for driving operation job roles within the Transport and Logistics Industry. Successful completion of the qualification will require competence in units of competency that relate to the job requirements defined as aligned at AQF Level 2. Successful completion of the licensing units within the qualification must align with licensing and regulatory requirements applicable to driving and state/territory regulatory requirements. Job roles and titles vary across different sectors. 5 Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence Full Qualification & Short Course The Heavy Vehicle courses address the skills and knowledge required to: operate commercial vehicles safely (including the monitoring of traffic/associated equipment, management of vehicle condition/performance, coupling and uncoupling of trailer (where applicable) and effective management of hazardous situations) carry out an inspection of a commercial vehicle and commercial trailer (ensuring that all specified safety requirements are met and that the vehicle is operational to the requirements of both the workplace and the relevant state/territory roads and traffic authority) interpreting road maps and navigating routes (which includes identifying and determining the most appropriate route and completing required route documentation in accordance with operational requirements.) To obtain a licence to drive a heavy vehicle, the assessment of the licensing unit will be undertaken within a licensing examination conducted under the authority of the relevant state/territory driver licensing authority. The course consists of units TLIA1001A Secure cargo TLID2004A Load and unload goods/cargo TLIE1003A Participate in basic workplace communication TLIF1001A Follow occupational health and safety procedures TLIF2006A Apply accident-emergency procedures TLII1002A Apply customer service skills TLIL1001A Complete workplace orientation/induction procedures TLIB2004A Carry out vehicle inspection Students would enrol into Transport & Logistics Industry Driver Operations. 6 Forklift Licence Full Qualification & Short Course This course provides the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift, including checking forklift condition, driving the forklift to fulfil operational requirements, monitoring site conditions and monitoring & maintaining forklift performance. The aim of this program is to ensure participants have the skills and knowledge to operate a counter balanced forklift (LF) and meet the requirements of WorkSafe. The course consists of units TLIB2001A Check & assess operational capabilities of equipment TLID1001A Shift materials safely using manual handling methods TLID2010A Operate a Forklift TLILIC2001A Licence to operate a forklift truck. Students would enrol into Transport & Logistics Industry Driver Operations. 7 Order Picker Full Qualification & Short Course This course provides the skills and knowledge required to operate an order picker, including checking order picker condition, driving the order picker to fulfil operational requirements, monitoring site conditions and monitoring & maintaining order picker performance. The aim of this program is to ensure participants have the skills and knowledge to operate an order picking forklift (LO) and meet the requirements of WorkSafe. The course consists of units* TLIB2001A Check & assess operational capabilities of equipment TLID1001A Shift materials safely using manual handling methods TLID3011A Conduct specialised forklift operations TLILIC2002A Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck Students would enrol into Transport & Logistics Industry Driver Operations. 8 Forklift REFRESHER Fee for Service only Journey Management Group offers Forklift Refresher courses for licence holders wishing to renew skills and comply with the latest Work Safe regulations that may have changed since gaining a forklift licence. Classroom (Forklift essentials and PowerPoint presentation) - Inspections - Operations - Attachments - Shut-down. Knowledge test. Practical (Demonstration pre-operational procedures) - Pre/post-start checks - Basic operating techniques. 9 Fatigue Management Full Qualification & Short Course This course involves the skills and knowledge required to apply fatigue management strategies, including identifying and acting upon signs of fatigue and implementing appropriate strategies to minimise fatigue during work activities, in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements. The National Road Transport - Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue laws consist of three levels of Fatigue Management: Standard Hours - basic work and rest time limits Basic Fatigue Management* - more flexible work hours linked to accreditation. Advanced Fatigue Management* - create your own safety management system and work hours linked to accreditation. *these Fatigue Management options must be registered with the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS). Registration is made by the company which you are employed by. The course consists of units TLIE3028A Complete a work diary in the road transport industry TLIE2008A Process workplace documentation TLIF2010A Apply fatigue management strategies. 10 Fatigue Management for Supervisors Short Course This course addresses the required skills and knowledge to administer the implementation of fatigue management strategies, including monitoring the implementation of fatigue management strategies; and recognising breaches of fatigue management policies, procedures and regulations. It also includes developing and assessing staff competence in fatigue management, providing feedback to staff on any shortcomings in their fatigue management skills & knowledge and reporting to management on the implementation of fatigue management policy. The course consists of units TLIF3063A Administer the implementation of fatigue management strategies. Students would enrol into Transport & Logistics Industry Driver Operations. 11 Load Restraint Short Course This course addresses the skills and knowledge required to load and unload goods and cargo, including load and unload goods, securing and protecting the load and completing all required documentation. The course also involves understanding how to correctly apply accident emergency procedures, including responding to an incident, controlling and assisting at an accident or emergency site, finalising accident-emergency processes and completing records, reports and other required documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures. The course consists of units TLIA1001A Secure Cargo TLID2004A Load and unload goods/cargo TLIF2006A Apply accident-emergency procedures. 12 Transport Dangerous Goods Short Course Drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods require State/Territory authorisation. This course will give participants the knowledge of the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road & Rail (covers Dangerous Goods classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 & 9) and the Victorian Dangerous Goods Regulations. Upon successful completion of the course the driver is able to approach their State or Territory transport department and apply for the issue of that state/territory's Driver Authorisation. The course consists of units TLILIC3013A Preparation to transport dangerous goods by road TLIE3004A Prepare workplace documents TLIE3012A Consolidate manifest documentation. 13 Managing Freight Full Qualification The course addresses the skills and knowledge required to manage the transportation of freight, which includes: the estimation and calculation of mass & area and quantify dimensions of loads as part of work functions in the transport, warehousing, and/or storage sectors identification of the documentation required and the processing of the information the preparation of workplace documents and forms in accordance with workplace requirements and any applicable regulations/codes including planning and preparing a document plan and navigate routes as part of transport operations, using road map, street directory or GPS. 14 Scissor Lift Short Course The aim of this course is to provide students with practical knowledge and skills necessary for the safe operation of a Scissor Lift. With OH&S procedures and understanding the principles of the machinery, operators are able to identify and prevent potential hazardous situations. The course includes: machine and general safety operator responsibilities pre-start inspection The course consists of units control functions start-up and shut-down procedures rules for safe operation. 15 Pallet Mover Short Course This course involves the skills and knowledge required to move materials mechanically using mechanised pallet movers. This includes selecting appropriate mechanical moving equipment (where relevant), moving materials/goods in accordance with operational requirements, checking condition of materials/goods and completing all required documentation. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are applicable to this unit. Training and assessment will consist of: Classroom (essential knowledge and PowerPoint presentation) - Workplace and equipment operating safety - Inspections - Park, shutdown and secure equipment Knowledge assessment Practical demonstration (inspections and operations) Learner practice operating pallet mover Performance assessment (Learner operating pallet mover) The course consists of units TLID2013A Move materials mechanically using automated equipment TLIB2001A Check and assess operational capabilities of equipment Students would enrol into Transport & Logistics Industry Driver Operations. 4 hour 6 * This course will only be delivered at a customers/clients location. 16 Reach Stacker Short Course This course involves the skills and knowledge required to operate a mobile crane of greater than 3 tonne capacity with specialised attachments or all-terrain equipment, including checking attachments and worksite for suitability, selecting the type of forklift and accessories for required load shifting tasks, and shifting load and completing work in accordance with operational requirements. Course assessment of this unit will be undertaken within a licensing examination conducted by, or under the authority of, the relevant state/territory OH&S authority. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are applicable to this unit. Training and assessment will consist of: Classroom (essential knowledge and PowerPoint presentation) - Workplace and equipment operating safety - Inspections - Park, shutdown and secure equipment Knowledge assessment Practical demonstration (inspections and operations) Learner practice operating reach stacker Performance assessment (Learner operating reach stacker) The course consists of units TLILIC3006A - Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity) TLID3011A Conduct specialised forklift operations TLIB2001A Check and assess operational capabilities or equipment Minimum 18 years of age Students would enrol into Transport & Logistics Industry Driver Operations. 2 days 4 * This course will only be delivered at a customers/clients location.
