1 2012 Inner Visions Yearbook The Inner Visions yearbook staff is now accepting orders for personal ads and friendship ads for the 2012, Volume 39, University School Yearbook. Act now! Don t delay! Creating your ad is easy! 1. Choose the size and the design. 2. Collect photos. 3. Compose the message to fit the ad space. 4. Read ALL instructions for ad submission. 5. Sign the advertising guidelines. 6. Complete the order form and send it in with the proper payment, photos, and message. Because the number of pages available for ads is limited, we encourage you to submit your ad material as soon as possible. Ads will be accepted in the order in which they are received, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The yearbook staff cannot guarantee that space will be available! **The deadline for receipt of completed ad materials is October 20. Subject to available space, late ads will be accepted by November 1, but will incur a 10% penalty. **No ads will be accepted after November 1**

2 Instructions for Ad Submission Please read these instructions carefully! CHOOSE 1. Select the ad size you wish to purchase. Then, using the sample layouts, choose the design letter within that size that you would like used for your child s ad in the yearbook. PHOTOS 1. Each ad contains a number of photos. Please supply enough pictures to fill the photo blocks in the ad you chose. If you include extra pictures, our staff will decide which one(s) to exclude without notifying you. 2. Decide which picture you want in which photo block in the design. A vertical photo block requires up and down images and a horizontal photo block requires left to right images. 3. Using a pencil, write softly on the back of the picture, the photo block number in which you want the picture to appear. If you do not number the photos, our staff will place the photos attractively. 4. DO NOT send original copies of any photo you value; we cannot guarantee its return. Instead, submit a photo quality copy of any picture you cannot replace. We DO NOT recommend computer generated ink jet photo images on plain white paper and cannot be held responsible for the quality of the reproduction if you should submit a photo in this manner. Instead, go to Walgreens, CVS, or the like and make a photo quality copy of the picture. 5. We CANNOT use photos which have been glued, cut, or taped to paper. 6. Please DO NOT submit collages. They do not reproduce well and we cannot be responsible for the image quality problems which may arise. TEXTS 1. The words you want to include in your ad are called copy. Please PRINT your copy legibly on the ad order form or you may type or print it on a separate sheet and attach it to the order form. 2. We will choose a font/typeface for the copy when we design your ad. We will correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors unless otherwise instructed. 3. Take into account the size of your ad when writing your message to your child. A large quantity of text in any ad will end up being set in small type which may not be easy to read.

No refunds will be given. The Inner Visions Yearbook staff reserves the right to refuse publishing for senior or friendship ads that do not adhere to the guidelines above.
