The second and third days of Cappad-O-Cia Cup will be the first and second days of the 4th stage of the National Championships. 2 CLASSES AND ENTRIES M/W 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21E, 35, 45, 60, Open Long, Open Short * Some classes previously announced in Bulletin 2 have been combined due to insufficient number of participants. ** Open classes are less competitive, recreational classes. Open Long is more suitable for the less experienced 16+ and Open Short is an easier course, more suitable for the less experienced 15-. SPECIAL MAP FEATURES Maps have been drawn according to the International Specification for Orienteering Maps (ISOM 2000) and the International Specification for Sprint Orienteering Maps (ISSOM 2007). Special features: The unique rock pillars of the region have been mapped as a black impassable wall with a white dot in the centre. Some of these rock pillars were caved into in ancient times and used as shelter or places of worship. Entrances to these are marked on the map with the black V denoting cave entrance. START POINT DETAILS For all days there exist two start points close to eachother: START A: M/W 10, 12, 14, 50+ and OPEN classes START B: M/W 16, 18, 20, 21E, 35, 45 classes On Day 2, Long Distance, there is a pre-start at -10 minutes. It is approximately 150 m from pre-start to start. Start stations will not be used in any of the competitions. It is the competitor s responsibility to be at the start at his/her start time announced on the start lists.

3 VENUE AND TERRAIN Cappad-O-cia Cup Day 1 (Sprint - Gülşehir) Scale 1:4000 Contour interval: 5 m M/W courses urban only, others 60% urban, 40% rural areas. Full body clothing not required. Winning time is minutes and maximum time on course is 40 minutes. A quarantine will be applied. Competitors need to be in the quarantine area by 11:45. Toilets and water are available in the quarantine. Competitors will not be allowed back into the quarantine after finishing. Therefore it is advised to leave a change of clothes at the designated area at the finish. Cappad-O-cia Cup Day 2 (Long Distance - Mustafapaşa) Assembly Area Scale 1:7500 Contour interval: 5m 95% of the course is open land. Full body clothing is not essential. Beware of the high stone cliffs! These are explicitly mapped according to ISOM. There are 3 drink points on course. Attention: Courses M/W 21E have a map change! Two maps, marked A and B are sealed in a plastic bag back to back. The competitor will run Course A, then enter a taped area. Here the competitor will turn over to Course B and using the map start of Course B at the end of the taped route, will continue to complete the course. Winning time is minutes depending on the class. Maximum time on course is 210 minutes. In order to facilitate map readability the scale is set as 1:7500.

4 Cappad-O-cia Cup Day 3 (Middle Distance - Göreme) Assembly Area Scale 1:7500 Contour interval: 5m 95% of the course is open land. Full body clothing is not essential. No drink points on course. Winning time is minutes depending on the class. Maximum time on course is 90 minutes. In order to facilitate map readability the scale is set as 1:7500. It will also be possible to pay in cash upon arrival. PLEASE NOTE THAT: 1- CHANGE OF CLASS FOR AN ENTRY AFTER START LISTS ARE PUBLISHED IS NOT POSSIBLE. 2- Late entries are only possible for the OPEN classes 3- After start lists are published, change of an SI card number is subject to a fee of 20 Clean maps of the event will be on sale upon request. The fee for one map package (including maps for all classes for that day) is 10. Please put your name down for the maps you wish to buy at the info desk. These maps will be available at the info desk on the last day of the competition, after the last start. TRANSPORTATION 1. Shuttles to venues from places of accommodation may be arranged upon request. Please contact the organizers (info@orienteering.org.tr) stating the name of your Hotel and the number people to be picked up. 2. Clubs and individuals may make their own way to the venues. However, the organizers take no responsibility for those using their own means of transportation. 3. Shuttles will depart at times given below. On days where the prize giving ceremony takes place, shuttles will not depart until after the ceremony. 4. The GPS coordinates for the assembly area for each stage and the route to each are sketched below.
