2 SERVICES Piccolo Press Design We provide a full custom design service. Engraving & Diestamping (1) Piccolo has the only diestamping presses in Scotland; and is one of the very few companies within the UK able to produce engraved stationery. Letterpress Printing (2) Piccolo is one of a very small number of printing companies within the UK able to produce top quality letterpress. Although we still use some beautiful old lead cast metal blocks, we can also make our own relief blocks in house. These we use for our Custom designs, or for designs sent to us electronically About Piccolo Press Piccolo Press is a traditional and specialist printing company, established by Tim Honnor in The Press has a world-wide reputation for excellence. Piccolo is privileged to print for a large number of prestigious clients throughout the UK. These include British Embassies and diplomats, London Livery Companies and Corporate Companies requiring top quality invitations. Piccolo is also a premier supplier of wedding stationery and personal stationery of the highest quality obtainable. Thermography (3) This process raises the print by heat and is particularly successful for invitations. Foil Blocking (4) Ideal for some cards and folders where a strong debossed metallic image is required. Blind Embossing (5) By using our die stamping presses, we can achieve the great pressure required to produce really beautiful blind embossings. Lithographic Printing Our lithographic presses are used for flat printing and more standard items. 3

3 Cloth Covered Slip Cases: These rigid cases, foiled in gold on the front are covered in a linen cloth finish paper, inside and out. They contain ten single correspondence cards with matching lined envelopes. The cards are light cream (some are white) and are diestamped or letterpress printed with an ornament chosen from our extensive collection of old dies and blocks. Cards can also be letterpress printed with any letter in the alphabet in our Cloister initial, or Chisel initial lead fonts. Gift Stationery from Piccolo Press Card Slip Cases: Our Gift Stationery is designed, printed and packaged at our premises in Nairn, Scotland. Not being supplied via middlemen, or retail outlets, our prices are far lower than you would be expected to pay in Bond Street or New York. With printing and engraving from dies and blocks, most of them of considerable age, you are purchasing a real piece of craftsmanship. Our gift stationery items make beautiful and unusual presents with that personal touch appreciated by customers of all ages. It is our experience that those who have purchased our gift items have come back to us at regular intervals, either to replenish their stocks, or buy a present for their friends. This brochure shows some of the stationery range on offer and I hope provides you with an idea of the skills, from engraver to pressman that produce this stationery on presses at least fifty years old. These cases are lighter than the Cloth Covered Cases and contain eight correspondence cards and matching envelopes. The full choice of ornaments or initials is available.
