5 How-To-Travel Important to know: Jumpseating vs. Zed Fare Jumpseating is a term used generally for commuting. A jumpseat is any completely free seat; one cannot be obtained for international flights. You as a flight attendant can, however, jumpseat on most large airlines to US cities, including those in Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. When flying Spirit, you can reserve the physical spare jumpseat on the A319 and A321 aircrafts. We cannot sit in the physical spare jumpseat on other airlines. This term is simply how we avoid paying a Zed Fare when acquiring a cabin seat for domestic travel. Because you have not paid for a Zed Fare you will be at the bottom of almost any standby list. Zed Fares are generally between $25 and $90 (Up to $250 for international flights) and can be bought for yourself and your beneficiaries on other airlines. You can purchase Zed Fares through ID90 and MyID Travel. You must purchase a Zed Fare when traveling internationally on another airline. How to make your reservations: Spirit.com To reserve the spare jumpseat on the A319 & A321 aircraft visit Spirit.com, scroll to Team Travel & OA Travel / Jumpseat, and log in with your RA username and password. Telephone Numbers There are numbers that you can call to list yourself as a Jumpseater on a few airlines. The benefit of using an airline s hotline is that Spirit cannot track your movements. Your beneficiaries cannot be listed via telephone numbers. ID90 Visit Your personal login allows you to look up flight loads and list yourself and your beneficiaries for free Spirit flights. It also allows you to buy Zed Fares for yourself and your benefits on several other airlines. We have full international travel benefits on all airlines on ID90. Hotel & car rental deals are also available and competitively priced. The company login allows you to list as a jumpseater on and Frontier. You cannot list your beneficiaries for flights using the company login. Some of the flights are operated by regional carriers; check your personal login or MyIDTravel to list for those. You may be required to pay a Zed Fare depending on the carrier. Never use the company login for international travel.

6 MyIDTravel This website must be accessed differently depending on whether you wish to jumpseat or pay a Zed Fare. To access your personal login, simply enter the address You can use your personal login to list yourself and your beneficiaries for domestic and international travel on dozens of carriers. To access the company login, utilize the address Use the company login to jumpseat on American, Jetblue, and Virgin America. Travel Department There are several airlines not featured on ID90 or MyIDTravel for which we can list. You must make these standby reservations through the travel department. A full list of these airlines is available in every crew room.
