The SAP Solution Manager rapid deployment solution for ALM test management supports you in designing and implementing a customer specific prototype based on SAP Solution Manager and integrated partner solutions. With this service you are able to verify benefit of using SAP s test management approach adapted to your needs. This service is part of a premium support engagement delivered by the SAP Active Global Support. Scope and effort analyzer Scope and effort analyzer is an application which helps in analyzing the impact of a SAP support package or enhancement package and provides an estimation for expected test effort as well as the effort for expected customer code adjustments. Existing Solution Documentation is helpful but not a must. Test management with SAP Solution Manager - test workbench SAP Solution Manager contains a capability called test workbench that can be used to perform all test management activities starting from test preparation, test planning and test execution as well as reporting. The test workbench has been enhanced by the test management work center for a webbased access and by the BW-reporting to allow a very flexible and visualized reporting. It is fully integrated with the business blueprint and IT service management functionality inside SAP Solution Manager. Test automation framework Major pain points in test automation has been addressed with the test automation framework that contains Component based Test Automation (CBTA), integration of certified third party tools (like HP Quick Test Professional) to design, build and execute automated tests. It supports the complete test cycle from the test preparation to scheduling, execution and reporting of tests. It is also offering an environment for test engineers to create and repair test scripts more quickly and is therefore giving a high benefit in the usage of automated testing. Following alternatives are available to be delivered as part of a RDS package: o Component based Test Automation (CBTA) o HP QTP integrated into SAP Solution Manager

3 Test management with SAP Quality Center by HP integrated into SAP Solution Manager SAP has developed an adapter that integrates the SAP Solution Manager application management solution and the SAP Quality Center application by HP, used for software testing. This allows you to transfer your business blueprint structure and related documents, specifications, business requirements, links, and test objects such as transactions, implementation guide activities, or custom programs. Quality managers use this information to plan and structure their test projects efficiently. Test automation with SAP Test Acceleration and optimization The SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization application supports customers in automating their business process tests by automatically generating draft test cases and test components. Its tight integration with SAP Solution Manager helps in identifying the impacted test cases and components when there are changes in the landscape. The SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization application creates modular test cases, which are easy to maintain, when the test cases are damaged due to functional changes.
