Share Out. : Chemical Effects on Hair and Scalp Quick Write: Students write in their own words a quick paper on chemical effects on hair and scalp. The teacher discusses characteristics and qualities of hair coloring developers. Experiments: Students use different strengths of developers on hair swatches. They discuss their findings with class. Challenge Envelopes: The teacher places various questions on hair coloring in challenge envelopes. Students select Red, Blue and Yellow Play Dough or Clay Developers Swatches Envelopes Questions

Hair Coloring Tone and Compatibility Hair Coloring Tone and Compatibility Four Corners: Place posters on walls in the room using strongly agree to strongly disagree using situations in hair coloring tone and compatibility. Turn and Share: Students turn to a classmate and determine their classmates skin tone and proper hair color. Guidebook: Students develop a Guidebook on how to analyze skin tones to determine compatibility to hair color. They include pictures as examples.
