2 CAMBI IN BRIEF Independent Norwegian technology & engineering company since 1989 Designs, builds & operates the CAMBI Thermal Hydrolysis Process (THP) A pre-treatment technology before anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge Optimizes digestion and dewatering, reduces digester volume, increases gas production Delivers a high quality (Class A) end product (biosolids) First installation in 1996, still in operation 44 plants for > t dry solids/year Typical WWTP size : to 10 Million People Equivalent!Cambi THP is a key technology for any sludge disposal strategy!
3 CAMBI S BUSINESS AREAS Biosolids: Plants for enhanced biogas production from municipal & industrial sludge Biowaste: Plants for biogas fertilizer from source-separated organic waste Operations: Cambi Operations provides support and operation services to maximize plant performance
4 THE CHALLENGE OF SLUDGE AND BIOWASTE Overloaded digesters? Biological sludge difficult to dewater? Quality/Class A requirements? High disposal costs? Odour? Waste and wastewater management does not come for free!

The Advanced digestion system, treating 50% of the WAS sludge load, will operate totally independent from the conventional digestion plant (based on the other 4 digesters) which is treating the other 50% of the sludge load. In the future an additional, identical B6-4 line can be added to transform the remaining conventional digesters into a second advanced digestion line
