4 Volvo Penta T The Volvo Penta 2000 Series was developed for sailboats and small motorboats. The engine starts easily and runs very fuel efficiently. The engine block and cylinder head are made from cast iron. Anodes for the engine and drive, seawater cooling, alloy flywheel housing and closed crankcase ventilation are all attributes which give the engine a long service life. All important service and maintenance parts are located at the front of the engine. This makes it easy to service the engine with Volvo Penta classic parts. 5 Volvo Penta MD The most compact of the small diesel marine engines, this Volvo Penta series consists of 2 and 3 cylinder engines, equiped with freshwater cooling and a 60 Amp alternator with charging sensor. A smooth and silent operating mode is secured with an adjustable rpm range. Available with saildrive and reverse gearbox. 6 Volvo Penta AD/TMD A great example of marine innovations made by Volvo Penta, this series of engines played a big part in the diesel success stories within the marine boating industry. Together with the Volvo Penta Duoprop the most efficient torque curve was engineered. These engines were also equiped with turbochargers. 7 Volvo Penta 4,3 GXi 5,7 GiE All Volvo Penta gasoline engines were pure boating engines with reliable ignition systems and easy to maintain. The V6 program (4,3 liter) offered a smooth and quiet running engine and at the same time a massive torque and high speed. The proven V8 models (5,0 and 5,7 liter) offered strong acceleration, perfect for water skiing and wake boarding. They were available with carburretor or electronic fuel injection (EFI). Note! Due to a wide range of gas engine models it is essential to check the serial number of your engine. Please provide the number to your local Volvo Penta Dealer, they will be then able to identify the correct engine model and suitable classic parts.
