7 LANESBOROUGH SIGNATURE TEAS Lanesborough Breakfast Tea 5.50 A special blend of Assam, Sumatran and Ceylon black teas with a deep golden-brown cup. It is a robust and well-balanced tea with a hint of dates and pleasantlfragrant aroma. Lanesborough Afternoon Tea 5.50 A blend of black and green tea leaves with a golden cup and enticing floral aroma. The flavour is mild and sweet with distinct fruity overtones an elegant rose aftertaste. A very lively and refreshing bespoke blend. Chocolate Tea & Gold Leaves 5.50 The unmistakable flavour of chocolate without all the calories! A medium bodied blend of Chinese and Ceylon black teas that has been combined with chocolate chips and coconut to produce a wonderfully light black tea with a strong aroma and undertones of chocolate. BLACK TEAS Bohea Lapsang Souchong 5.50 This kind of tea is a specialty of the Fujian Province in China. The tea leaves are put through several stages of preparation which culminates in the leaves being hung in baskets over smoking pine wood fires to dry. The leaves consequently become intensely black and have a distinctly smokey aroma. Ceylon Kenilworth 5.50 This Sri Lankan tea Estate was created in 1947 by an English pioneer who named it after the famous Kenilworth castle in Warwickshire, England. This particular estate produces one of the highest quality teas in Sri Lanka with beautiful black leaves. The fullbodied infusion is a dark-red with an earthy, spicy flavour.

8 Darjeeling Jungpana 5.50 Jungpana is a tiny, beautiful and renowned garden nestled in the hills of the Darjeeling region, India. The garden is located on a steep slope near the Goomtee Estate, which makes it incredibly remote and only accessible by foot. This rich infusion yields the classic 'muscatel' character with hints of almond or walnut. The aroma holds hints of peach and floral notes, with a delightful honey finish. The body is extremely smooth with distinct fruit notes in every sip. Much sought after among connoisseurs of Darjeeling vintages. Earl Grey Supreme 5.50 Earl Grey is one of the most widely drunk teas in the world. Its distinct flavour is a result of combining high quality Chinese black tea and oil of bergamot, originally used to protect the flavour from mould and tar during long sea voyages. This beautifully scented tea with its flowery and citrusy flavour remains the embodiment of the finest English tea. Assam Dejoo 5.50 The perfect terrain and rich, fertile soil spanning over 1,300 hectares at the Dejoo tea Estate, ensures a good crop every year. The surrounding area receives on average 130 inches of rainfall per year, and the tea grown here is known for its strong body and malty flavour, lacking any bitterness. Dejoo is a bold, rounded black tea with a deep, burgundy-red cup and not overly pungent flavour. Its rich aroma is more starchy sweet than malty, like roasted plantains. This tea is a solid, 'friendly' Assam, from the well-regarded tea garden. Cinnamon Star 5.50 A classic, medium bodied Chinese black tea has been enriched with crushed cinnamon pieces, a once rare and sought after spice. The rich, red-brown cup is characterised by its unmistakable spicy and warm aroma, offering an invigorating brew that is perfect in its simplicity.

9 GREEN TEAS Chinese Gunpowder 5.50 Also known as the Temple of Heaven, this variety of gunpowder tea is one of the more popular green teas in China, especially in the eastern provinces. Using a centuries-old method, each leaf is rolled into a small pellet, resembling black powder and giving this green tea its unique name. This refreshing tea has a strong aroma with an underlying sweetness, and can be enjoyed throughout the day. Lung Ching (Dragonwell) 5.50 Also known as Dragonwell, Lung Ching is one of the most famous Chinese green teas worldwide, renowned for its quality and remarkable flavour. True Lung Ching tea, with its unique flat and crisp leaves, is grown only in the Hangzhou area in Zhejiang province. This light tea smoothly combines the classic green tea character with a sweet and slightly fruity aroma. Moroccan Mint Green Tea 5.50 A truly invigorating tea, which combines the strength of a highquality China Gunpowder tea with the delightful sweetness and aroma of premium peppermint leaves. This Gold Taste Award winning tea offers a bold and stimulating, but well-balanced cup which will awaken all your senses. Japan Sencha (organic) 5.50 Sencha stands for infused tea and it is the most popular Japanese tea worldwide. This particular organic green tea is picked in July and offers a pale golden-green cup with a light and pleasantly tangy flavour, the aroma reminiscent of freshly cut grass and sea breeze.

10 Rose of the Orient 5.50 Rose of the Orient has been created using a high quality green tea, with slightly opened leaves and a few silver tips. The leaves have been layered with fresh rose petals, allowing the floral aroma to seep into the tea itself. The final result is striking a fine green cup with a delicate bouquet of roses. Japan Genmaicha 5.50 Genmaicha, or rice tea, is a combination of green Sencha, roasted grains rice and popped rice. This distinct Japanese tea has bright golden infusion and nutty, slightly savoury flavour. Jasmine Flowering Balls 5.50 These amazing flowering teas are handmade rosettes of delicate green tea leaves and decorative flowers, which have been carefully infused with jasmine blossoms to give them their exquisite jasmine flavour and aroma. As the balls steep, they slowly unfurl to reveal the secret beauty of the graceful bouquet within. PU ERH TEAS Imperial Pu Erh 5.50 Like other Pu Erh teas, this one represents a unique type of tea that has been double fermented and buried underground for up to two years. It is this complex and time consuming production process that gives the dark red infusion its strong and unique flavour that is predominantly earthy and woody with an underlying spiciness.

11 WHITE TEAS Snow Buds 8.50 Snow Buds is a premium white tea, grown in southeast China at a notable altitude of 1,000 metres, just as it has been for over a hundred years now. Its name derives from the downy appearance of the delicate leaves and buds. Consisting of only hand plucked buds and youngest leaves, this tea has a pale yellow cup with a warm and sweet flavour with a pleasant vegetal after taste. Despite its mellow and light nature, it also retains a unique green soul. China Pai Mu Tan 8.50 Also known as White Peony, this Chinese white tea from the Fujian province is well-known for its delicate and refreshing flavour. The multi-coloured leaves, ranging from faint green to pale brown, create a clear, light yellow cup with a pleasantly sweet aroma and smooth, mellow flavour with a hint of spiciness and even a touch of nuttiness. A definite favourite among white tea connoisseurs. White Apricot 8.50 A Gold Taste Award winning fusion tea that combines the refined character of a white tea with the honey like sweetness of apricot pieces. The flowery undertones of marigold and rose round of the flavour, creating a truly delightful and refreshing tea. White Rose and Raspberry 8.50 This delicate fusion tea is an experience not to be missed. The subtle beauty of white tea leaves has been refined by a bold blend of apples, raspberries, roses and even pink pepper corns, creating a wonderfully complex flavour and aroma.

12 OOLONG TEAS Tie Guan Yin 8.50 Tie Guan Yin, or the Iron Goddess of Mercy, is considered to be one of the top ten most famous Chinese teas. This premium oolong tea was created during the Qing Dynasty in Anxi, Fujian Province, in a beautiful mountainous landscape with plentiful moisture throughout all the seasons. The light yellow infusion offers a refreshing aroma and a gently sweet flavour with fruity undertones. HERBAL TEAS Lemon Verbena (whole leaf) 5.50 Lemon verbena, known and used in European cuisine since the 17th century, is believed to be a great tonic for the nerves and also known to aid digestion. Its therapeutic effect on the body helps to create a sense of well-being, whereas its highly aromatic flavour is reminiscent of liquorice and camphor with a distinct lemon aftertaste. Peppermint (whole leaf) 5.50 Peppermint is well known for being a fantastic digestive and also a circulatory stimulant. It also has decongestive properties which can help with catarrhal congestion, cold relief and headaches. This premium whole leaf peppermint has mildly sweet undertones and its crisp freshness can be enjoyed all day long. Chamomile Flowers 5.50 Chamomile is an all-time favourite when it comes to calming the nerves, soothing irritability and relieving pain in the digestive system. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties. Traditionally it has been known to ease colds and flu, symptoms associated to allergies and eczema. These lovely flowers produce a golden cup with a creamy and sweet infusion.

13 Zest Tea 5.50 This is a delicate and refreshing herbal tea which is believed to benefit the digestive system, but also to have a general soothing and calming effect on the body. It contains lemongrass, lemon peel and ginger and is marked by a tangy aroma and an invigorating lemon flavour with a spicy finish. Beautiful Skin 5.50 A light herbal infusion marked but its distinct chamomile and elderflower undertones. It contains a wide range of herbs such as chickweed, red clover, nettle and dandelion and is believed to help promote healthy and clear skin throughout the body. ROOIBOS TEAS Rooibos (organic) 5.50 Rooibos originates from South Africa, where it has been appreciated for many generations. This high grade, organic red tea is characterized by a bright red cup and a creamy sweetness with a fruity aftertaste. A caffeine-free alternative to tea, rooibos is also packed with minerals and vitamins. Rooibos Orange and Cactus Fig 5.50 A very popular rooibos blend, packed with fascinating ingredients such as papaya, liquorice and orange. The distinct creamy sweetness of rooibos is complemented by fragrant citrus tones and fruity finish, proving to be an exciting, caffeine free alternative to many fusion teas. FRUIT / ICE TEAS Mango Tea 7.50 A mild and faintly spicy blend of carefully selected Ceylon and Chinese black teas, further enriched with the rich sweetness of dried mango and the simple beauty of sunflower blossoms. The dark amber infusion offers an exotic experience for the sense

14 Very Berry 7.50 An exciting, pure fruit tea consisting of a wide selection of berries and a few other dried fruit, such as papaya. The deep red cup is characterized by a vivid fruitiness and a pleasing sweetness that is balanced by the tart hints of hibiscus. Lychee and Strawberry 7.50 An elegant and well-rounded green tea containing a medley of strawberries and lychees. The well-known flavour of green Sencha tea combines smoothly with a fruity sweetness and a soft flowery undertones, finished by the mellow notes of strawberries. DECAFFEINATED TEAS Earl Grey Green (decaffeinated) 5.50 An alluring blend of Japanese green tea and the essentially British flavour of Earl Grey tea. The two combine and complement one another fantastically, providing a classic green tea flavour with the sweetness and citrusy aroma of bergamot oil. Additionally, a flavour protecting CO2 decaffeinating method has been used, ensuring that this tea can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Ceylon (decaffeinated) 5.50 A full bodied Ceylon black tea with spicy undertones, which has retained its character by a flavour protecting CO2 decaffeinating method. This tea is ideal for those who want to omit caffeine in their diet or to enjoy a delicious cup of tea at night without disrupting sleep. PREMIUM TEAS Jasmine Pearls (organic) 10 This tea comes from the Fujian province and is also known as "Phoenix Dragon Pearls". The dragon represents the green tea whilst the beauty of the phoenix is found in the jasmine flowers. The jasmine flowers are blended with tea leaves and hand-rolled together. As the pearls unfold, a wonderfully sweet jasmine fragrance is released.

15 Formosa Oolong Top Fancy (Asian Beauty) 18 This is a truly magnificent tea - it is very rare and a real treat for all tea lovers. The appearance of the tea shows white leaf tips crowning the oolong leaf to produce a delicate and misty looking tea. It offers an intense flowery bouquet with a slight undertone of spiciness which lingers on the palette for a long time, leaving you with a delicious after taste. China Kekecha 10 Yellow teas are increasingly rare, despite being known and enjoyed for quite a few centuries. With only a few varieties remaining, this particular yellow tea has been traditionally drank by Buddhist monks for its stimulating properties. Kekecha offers a mild cup with a subtle undertone of spiciness and a hint of papaya. Darjeeling 1 st Flush Goomtee 15 First flush teas, the first plucking of the season, are sometimes referred to as the 'Champagne' of Indian tea due to their often flowery, light and extremely aromatic character. This particular first flush is a mix of light to dark green tea leaves with a scattering of fuzzy sliver buds. The bright honey-amber infusion is smooth and crisp with hints of green grapes and sweet young vegetables, as well as floral overtones. The cup also offers a perfectly balanced amount of the characteristic 'green' astringency that marks a well-made first flush Darjeeling tea. China White Monkey 10 This tea was originally grown in such high altitudes in Fujian that monkeys had to be trained to pluck the trees. The rougher, slightly fluffy leaf makes a light green infusion and a mild cup. Slight nuance of honey characterizes this fascinating tea.
