1 COPY9 USER GUIDE for iphone Installation for iphone Devices Welcome to the installation page for your iphone. Copy9 is ONLY compatible with ANY jailbroken iphone 3G, 3GS, 4, iphone 4S, ipad at least firmware and above. You need Cydia application to install Copy9. This guide assumes you have already opened an account on IMPORTANT NOTE: It is recommended you do a backup of your phone in itunes before proceeding with the steps. The steps will not cause you to lose any music, pictures, apps, settings, etc. We DO NOT provide support with jailbreaking the iphone, but can recommend useful sites to obtain information on the jailbreaking process. There are 3 different groups of steps you must perform. These groups of steps are listed below: 1. Jaibreak your iphone which install Cydia at the same time. 2. Install Copy9 using Cydia. 3. Login and configuring the parameters for Copy9. 1. Jailbreak your phone which installs Cydia What is Jailbreaking & Why do I need it? The application Copy9 needs to run silently in the background. It's necessary to jailbreak your iphone so you can run the silent application in the background. Jailbreaking your phone install automatic Cydia. There is no cost to jailbreaking your iphone and it is completely reversible if the need should ever arise. 1 /11

2 How to Jailbreak your iphone You can decide on which method you want to use. Again, we DO NOT provide support or instructions on how to jailbreak your iphone. 2. Install Copy9 using Cydia Attention: Check before if you have an Internet access by Wi-Fi or 3G with your iphone. After that we can start to install Copy9 program with Cydia. Find Cydia Search on the springboard of your iphone the icon of Cydia. Tap with your finger on the icon Cydia to run the application. Agree to any requests from Cydia. If it asks you to choose "Developer, User, or Hacker" please choose "User". Then Cydia will restart to reflect those changes. If Cydia asks you to download any updates, please do so. 2 /11

3 1. Tap Manage on the main screen of Cydia. 3. On this screen tap Edit button 2. Then tap the Sources box. 4. Then tap the Add button. 3 /11

4 5. In the Add Sources pop-up box, type and tap on button Add Source. 7. Now tap the iphone.copy9.com to view detail. 6. Tap Done button. 8. Now tap on the Copy9 entry 4 /11

5 9. Then tap the Install button to install Copy9 11.Wait until Cydia finished to install the application Copy9 in your iphone. When this screen appears, press the Restart Springboard. 10.On this screen, tap the button Confirm. The installation of Copy9 in your iphone is finished. 5 /11

6 3. Sign up an online account and Register your iphone Check before if you have an Internet access by Wi-Fi or 3G with your iphone. 1. On springboard tap on the Copy9 icon to bring up the interface. 2. If you don't have an account on website Copy9 yet, tap Register to create account. Insert address, password you wish. Click Create account. 6 /11

7 Attention: When you create an account, your device will be registered to this account automatically. You should use a valid address to create account because later you will used this account to view logs result, recover password if you ever forget, receive link download CSV back up data 3. If you have an account in website already, tap Login to register device to your account. Insert address, password of your account. Click Login. 7 /11

8 If you cannot log in: - Check if you have an internet connection in your iphone. - Check again your address and password and send again. - Log in your account on web site to verify your account is already created and valid. 4. Hide Copy9 in iphone Springboard, Cydia and Hide Cydia icon On Copy9 main screen, tap Configuration button. 8 /11

9 i. Tap Hide Icon From Springboard button to hide icon Copy9. Icon Copy9 will be hidden in Springboard but still be showed in Packages of Cydia. To show icon Copy9 again, dial #000*. ii. Tap Hide Package Forever button to hide Copy9 on iphone forever. From now on, Copy9 will begin to works on your iphone in steath mode. There is no sight, no trace of Copy9 in your iphone, even in Cydia and no one, include you, can open Copy9 interface again. Don t worry, you still can adjust setting via website by log in to your security account. 9 /11

10 iii. Hide icon Cydia on iphone springboard You can activate this option to forbid user to uninstall application Copy9. 10 /11

List of SMS remote control commands Attention: Only Monitor phone number (specified in Settings -> Sync Settings -> Monitor phone of your online control panel at website can be used to control application Copy9 on target phone remotely via SMS command message. For example, if you want to turn on Auto Answer feature via SMS message, just use monitor phone number to send a message with content like <*#5> to target phone.
