Reading through the summer will help your students retain the skills they learned and be better prepared for the start of the new school year! Give each student a Summer Reading Adventure pack and they will get four or more books at their reading level that were written with their literacy development in mind. Additional components help motivate students to read, learn, and seek out further reading. Summer Reading Adventure packs: Align to Common Core State Standards. Include topics and themes across content areas. Include extra titles for the lower grades. Contain a mix of nonfiction and fiction. Include a parent letter with tips and suggestions.
