1 KairosDonor How To Download & Install Service Packs Problem: How do you download and install a KairosDonor Service Pack upgrade? Solution: Basically, you download the Service Pack upgrade from the KairosDonor.com website and save the downloaded file on your Desktop. Then you double click on the Service Pack Icon on the Desktop to begin the installation and configuration. When completed, your copy of KairosDonor will be updated to the latest software revision level. Note: in the following example, Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2 illustrations may be used. You start by clicking on the Download button on the KairosDonor.com website. Note the estimated time that is required to download the update, depending on the speed of your internet connection. Normally, you will receive a security warning screen. You would click the Save button.

2 This will open a Save As window that will allow you to determine where you want to save the Service Pack 1 download file. The simplest thing to do is to accept Windows normal default suggested location of the Desktop by clicking the Save button. This will begin the download process. During this process, the Service Pack 1 update file is being copied from the KairosDonor.com website to your computer s Desktop. The time it takes to download the file depends on the speed of your internet connection: DSL/Cable 1 2 minutes Dialup 56K 15 minutes Dialup 33K 35 minutes Once the download has completed, go to your Window s Desktop and look for the KairosDonorServicePack1 Icon (see the icon shown here). To install the update, you would double click on the Service Pack icon.

3 Normally, this will cause a security warning screen to pop up. You should click the Run button. This will begin the installation process for the Service Pack Upgrade. You will be guided through a series of installation screens. Simply click the Next button. The second Installation screen will appear. Click the Next button.

4 The third Installation screen appears simply click the Next button. Once the basic installation process has completed, you will receive this screen. Click the Finish button. This will start the Service Pack Configuration program. Just click the Install button to have the program update your KairosDonor program and associated files.

5 Once your KairosDonor files have been updated, you will receive the completed message. Click the blue button to finish the upgrade. Your KairosDonor program has now been updated with the appropriate Service Pack to the most up to date revision level. You can start up KairosDonor and begin using it. Frequently Asked Questions Q. What if the computer where I run KairosDonor does not have an internet connection? A. All you have to do is to be able to get the Service Pack download file onto the computer where you have KairosDonor so you can install the Service Pack upgrade on that computer. In this situation, you would use any computer that can connect to the internet and download the Service Pack file. Then copy the downloaded file to a USB Flash Disc and take the USB Flash Disc to the computer that has KairosDonor and install the file just as if you had downloaded it. Q. Why do I get a message saying Cannot Locate KairosDonor Aborting Installation? A. You are trying to install the Service Pack on a system that does not have KairosDonor installed. You can only install the Service Pack on a system that has KairosDonor. Q. How do I install the Service Pack if I am installing on a computer that I am just now installing the KairosDonor CD for the first time? A. You should install KairosDonor from the CD, and then start up KairosDonor and go through the initial Setup procedure. It is important that you have selected your Advisory Council and completed the initial setup BEFORE trying to install a Service Pack. Once you have at least completed the initial setup, then you can download and install the latest Service Pack upgrade.

6 Q. Can I install the Service Pack on a PC running Windows Vista? A. Absolutely. The only issue you will encounter is the typical one from Vista of questioning if you will Allow (also referred to as trusting ) the program to be run. You should click that you will allow the program to run.
